Bill C-372 is stirring up a storm that’s leaving citizens questioning the bounds of expression. This Canadian bill, on the brink of becoming law, is raising eyebrows for taking an unconventional stance on the discussion around fossil fuels.

The crux of the matter? Bill C-372 aims to make it illegal to advertise or express anything positive about fossil fuels. Yes, you read that right – talking about gasoline and oil could land you in hot water, with potential consequences including two years of jail time and a hefty $500,000 fine.

I know it’s Canada. but people need to really think about what is going on. The level of tyranny and oppression is off the charts. Lawfare in the US, the two-tier justice system, the double standards, the $34T debt. It’s all waaaaaaaay past anything that reasonable people ought to tolerate. But people do tolerate it. We sit and we complain but we do nothing. People are eventually going to be loaded on to cattle cars you know.

The liberal will not be stopped, until he has repeated his actions of the 20th century and murdered 250 million people.

It’s all about breaking Alberta. Everything, when it comes to hydrocarbons, is about punishing Alberta.

Biden could care less about free speech in Canada and its border with the USA. Instead, he risks war and spends billions to defend the border of Ukraine, which has never been a bastion of free speech.

Why bother loading the kulaks into cattle cars for transport to a gulag when you can simply liquidate them in their own homes by remote control? Cut off their fossil fuels, shut down their electricity, what are they going to do?

This seems to be about advertising and paid advocacy rather than personal speech.

This Act does not apply in respect of (a) a literary, dramatic, musical, cinematographic, scientific, educational or artistic work, production or performance that uses or depicts fossil fuels, fossil fuel-related brand elements or the production of fossil fuels, whatever the mode or form of its expression, if no consideration is given, directly or indirectly, by a producer, a retailer or an entity that has as one of its purposes to promote fossil fuels for that use or depiction in the work, production or performance;

(b) an opinion, commentary or report in respect of fossil fuels, fossil fuel-related brand elements or the production of fossil fuels if no consideration is given, directly or indirectly, by a producer, a retailer or an entity that has as one of its purposes to promote fossil fuels for the reference to the fossil fuels, fossil fuel-related brand elements or the production of fossil fuels in that opinion, commentary or report; or

(c) the name of an entity or the name under which the entity carries on business.
