The Cult of Doomerism (Man Up/Woman Up)

“If you think you’re going to vote your way out of this you’re wrong.”

“They’ll just steal it again.”

Folks, I’m about to blow a gasket with these types. Many of these people think they are—-or portray themselves as—-MAGA or “conservatives.” There is nothing whatsoever conservative or MAGA about this worldview. Quite the contrary, if I was a DemoKKKrat I would energetically promote this kind of thinking to suppress MAGA and conservative turnout.

It is simply a wrong worldview in several ways.

I believe that God is in control.

We need to get every repub voter out to vote.

No more staying home because you don't have the impossible perfect candidate who doesn't think exactly the same as you on every issue.

If enough vote, when the dems pull their fraudulent tricks, it will be really obvious if there are a large percentage more votes than voters.

Well, he certainly nailed lot of people here on FR who call others “Pollyannas” for not slicing their wrists over the elections.

I’m an admirer of LS, nice to hear from him. Don’t see him around here as much as I used to, but I aways was surprised he could find as much time as he did, being involved with as much as he is.

Personally, I am stubborn, and won’t easily give up hope, but when I hear we are increasing our debt by $1 Trillion dollars every 100 days...I surely am filled with trepidation at the prospect of being the 21st Century Weimar Republic.

Not to mention this blatant Banana Republic business going on for many years now.

I have tried to combat my pessimism by getting involved at the local level, but in my bluest of blue states, it sure does feel like spitting in the wind. I was making phone calls the other night, am on the Republican Town Committee in my area, and got appointed to The Board of Registrars in my town, but...I feel like they don’t really want me there. I feel like I am there to fill a roster spot. (Figured that out all on your own there, rlmorel, did ya?) The town government isn’t unfriendly. Just not interested in engaging me.

But I will keep trying. What else can one do.

I take some issues:
1. I am not afraid. God is in control, and I am a realist.
2. 81 million votes is fantastically unheard of. Yet all the media and feckless Repubs stated this was the most secure election in history. They’ll do it again with 100 million and no one will bat an eye.
3. I’m not coward. I try to win hearts and minds, and I’m not giving up. I am preparing for what comes next.

People can point fingers all they want. Until we have a real leader to fight the powers, things WILL ONLY GET WORSE.

Trump is the under even money favorite to win.

Dems have twice as many seats to defend in the Senate.

MAGA/GOP went 27-0 in House toss up races in 2020.

We’ve been voting our way out of it in stops and starts since 2010.

Now is the time to be optimistic and looking forward to the future.

Doom and gloom garners clicks, sells books and is accurate less than a broken clock.

Yes. I get tired of all the doom-saying here - and especially tired of the ones who suggest that Civil War II is inevitable- it's almost as if some of them would like to see that.

I believe that God is in control.

That doesn't mean God will put Trump back into the white house.

"Being optimistic" won't make anything happen. Action is what makes things happen. I get especially tired of all those who sit around saying: "We just have to be optimistic." If it takes a civil war, then that's what it takes.

Of course it takes more than optimism.

But we have a lot of people who think it’s not worth trying, we’re doomed to failure because we’ll be cheated, etc.

That is no way to win.

(Sorry, but I pray there is never another Civil War in the life of this Nation. It was the most devastating horror that has happened in our country.)

No, you’re wrong.

Nothing takes a civil war, other than the stupidity of the communists and other globalists.

That depends upon whether your on the side of the oppressors, or the side of the insurrectionists.

And, since God allows us to be tested, maybe the test won't be over with on the 2024 election. Are you going to start second-guessing God now?

Why would anyone second-guess God?

Why would anyone ask such a thing, when there’s no indication for asking it?

But the insurrectionists and the oppressors are the same people.
