Beloved FRiends, please lift my dear husband, John, up in prayer. He is suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding, pain and has lost a lot of weight. His doctor has tended to polyps and other lower intestinal maladies, but the bleeding has returned. He is weak, tired and of course afraid. But I know his Redeemer Lives.

Prayers sent. A wound that does not heal, is a wound prevented from healing. The question becomes "what" is preventing the healing. A surgeon or pharmaceutical-prescriber may not likely have the practice performing differential diagnosis to derive an answer. Or, due to hospital "standards of care", may not be willing to make an educated guess and try, which is better than doing nothing. I pray the Lord leads you to a small town doctor who thinks outside the Western medicine box and looks for what is interfering with healing using personalized medicine. Amen.

Of course! It seems like a lot Freepers and/or their family members have been ill lately. I’ll certainly keep y’all in my daily prayers.

Food:

Can be soup (strained) or broth.

A little bit of mashed potato - plain, no spice, no butter, no cream, no potato skin.

No abrasives: no seeds, no roughage, no oats, no skins.

Sleep. Walk. Bathe parts that need it.

Drink water, only.

For 2 weeks.

Then very slowly work up to eating the mashed potato - graduating from “a little bit.”

Abrasives are banned. Salads, seeds, roughage also banned.

Some days, skin an apple and chew very well.

Forget problems of the world.

Overnight sleep at least 9 - 10 hours. Nap times whenever he wants.
