What I Heard When Trump Addressed the NRA in Harrisburg

Thousands of patriots assembled at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo center on Friday the 9th of February, 2024. There was static in the air and the energy was beyond high.

People started lining up as early as 1 p.m. in order to be able to hear President Donald J. Trump speak at 6 p.m. that evening. The NRA Presidential Forum marked the eighth time Trump has addressed National Rifle Association members and there are plans for the NRA to host him again at the upcoming NRA annual meeting in Dallas.

Before Trump took to the stage and lectern to address fellow members, there were a number of other speakers. Notably, the NRA’s new interim Executive Vice President, Andrew Arulanandam, addressed the crowd.

"And today, you and I know that those values are under attack in Washington, in state houses across America, in courts, and of course in the media. So for me, it is a privilege and an honor to work with the men and women of the National Rifle Association, who every day valiantly step up to the plate to safeguard this great American freedom. Thank you to all of you.”"

By the time President Trump made his way onto the stage, the patriots were sufficiently primed for him. Trump spoke for nearly an hour and twenty minutes. ....[sentence omitted]

Considering the lessons learned over these last years and the strong words Trump used on Friday, I’m confident Trump will steer clear of any such disastrous concessions. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see January 20th, 2025.

I know, right? I always prefer captions on even as a hearing-well person because of the world’s loudness and too-often bad audio engineering. Especially in action movies where these idiots think blowing eardrums out for fight sequences help put them over while the rest of the film suffers from badly recorded volume - hence the need for captioning. I stopped going to movie theaters for that very reason.

Why leave from a place you just spent a boodle in with a migraine or worse when some time later you can see it at home where YOU control the audio and all.

As a society we suffer from ever-diminishing social contact with each other but I don’t miss threatening to kill dumb shits ruining everyone’s theater experience.

Watching that video, the mental difference between Trump and Biden is painfully evident. Trump is obviously in full control of his faculties, and Biden is a vegetable.
