The luxury ocean liner Queen Victoria became the center of an unknown outbreak after 129 passengers and 25 crew members were struck by an unidentified gastrointestinal illness, causing symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting during its grand 107-night world voyage.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported earlier this month that the widespread sickness has been ongoing throughout the ship’s journey, which sailed from Southampton, U.K., on January 11 and is set to conclude its voyage there on April 24.
The itinerary includes visits to several exotic destinations, including Cape Town, South Africa, and Hong Kong, China.
It was when the ship docked in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on January 22 that the CDC began its remote monitoring of the health situation aboard.

A health outbreak on a cruise ship. Color me surprised!
Quick. Have the Election Committee make new “rules” to mandate mail in ballots!
Oh, gee, we forgot to put Trump’s name on the mail in ballots! Simply an oversight.
Don’t know that I would go on another one especially around the world. Its an enclosed environment where people can go on day trips, get infected and back on the ship. If you shelled out big $$, chances are you’re not staying in your cabin unless deathly ill.
Pssssst...
It’s noro.
Except when it’s on a Cunard ship.
In before all the 80 year old farts insist that shuffleboard is the apex of living.
Yup.
Here we go....right on “cue”
On 18 February,(2020) Michael J. Ryan, executive director of the World Health Organization’s Health Emergencies Programme, said that Japan’s measures to quarantine passengers and staff on board at the Yokohama Port for two weeks were preferable to having them scattered throughout the world. However, he said that he was disappointed at the continued increase in the number of infected people.[35]
On 18 February,(2020) Kentaro Iwata, an infectious disease expert at Kobe University, uploaded a video on YouTube in which he raised questions about the measures taken to prevent epidemics on the “Diamond Princess” shortly after boarding the ship. He removed it on 20 February.
107 nights? Ugh, six nights on my first cruise at age 72 was PLENTY for me.
“exotic destinations, including Cape Town, South Africa, and Hong Kong, China.”
“EXOTIC”? Maybe back in 1920.
This recent “Here we go” meme is already getting tedious. The news outlets gotta keep the fires of fear and paranoia stoked.

They were probably shown a collection of speeches by Democrat leaders
But it never happened on The Love Boat.
The ship is going to Hawaii too:

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating an outbreak on a luxury cruise ship where more than 150 people have reported gastrointestinal illness, including diarrhea and vomiting.
The Queen Victoria, operated by Cunard Cruise Line, departed San Francisco Wednesday on its way from Florida to Hawaii. The ship is carrying 1,800 passengers and 970 crew members.
The cause is unknown. Cunard told the CDC that the ship increased cleaning and disinfection, and isolated ill passengers and crew.
The reported cases are totals for the entire voyage and do not represent how many people are actively sick at any one time, the CDC said.
The company did not immediately respond to an email from The Associated Press seeking more details.
The ship originated in Germany on Jan. 9 and departed Florida on Jan. 22, according to ship tracker Cruise Mapper. Its next stop is Honolulu, Hawaii, on Feb. 12 and ends in Australia next month.
How many posts before the word, “Petri”, shows up?
The obvious answer is “15.”
“Here we go....right on ‘cue’”
Exactly. February 2020 Diamond Princess dockside in Japan. February 2024 it’s Cunard.
I guess they assume we can’t figure it out.
So you’re blaming the fish heads and seaweeds dish? That’s just racis.
107 days on a giant floating apartment building aboard the Upchuck Queen, where diarrhea and vomiting were the main activity, where every swell is a memorable experience.
So 15 it is. LOL!
