Remember the Chicago Bears’ “Super Bowl Shuffle”? Well, Joe Biden is thedemented (according to Hur) shuffler so a Super Bowl shuffle video featuring Biden talking about how he is reducing prices.
Attending the Super Bowl in person has long been a lavish expense, reserved for those willing to part with a significant sum for the ultimate fan experience. But when the Kansas City Chiefs meet the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 11 for the 58th such championship, it will be the most expensive yet.
Stubhub is reporting tickets ranging from $5,300 to $107,000, with the average price paid around $9,500. (Ticketmaster and other estimates vary slightly.) That is a 93 percent increase in ticket prices from last year’s Super Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona, and 300 percent over the past ten years. Lodging prices are skyrocketing as well.
A week out from kickoff, rooms at five-star hotels like the Bellagio, Aria, and The Venetian started at $1,500 or more per night for Super Bowl weekend, according to Expedia. Travelers seeking an affordable stay on the Las Vegas Strip, such as at Excalibur, can find an average nightly rate of $88 on Priceline for this weekend. That jumps to $486 during Super Bowl weekend, an increase of 426 percent. Prices do dip a bit if Super Bowl fans want to stay away from the Strip’s hotels and casinos.
And then, of course, there are the costs of getting there and subsisting. Intrepid drivers looking to travel from San Francisco to Los Angeles (a trip of between 8 and 9 hours) will do so with gasoline prices at $3.66/gallon. That’s down markedly from the mid-2022 spike, but still vastly above levels before the pandemic.

Totally overrated IMO......and always has been.
When they had it in my town it was nothing but a big pain in the ass.
No problem for me as Taylor gave me one of her tickets as I’m a big Swifty. See y’all in Vegas.
Oh please. Don’t blame Biden or the govt for Superbowl ticket prices. Why people pay so much for what is usually the most boring game of the year that they can barely see is a mystery.
The rich are doing great under Biden, they’ll be ok.
I blame Biden and the democrats for much of today’s woes. This isn’t one of them. A fool and his money.....
I went to that one. Choking McNabb…
I'd love to be in the Lockheed Martin Box.
$107k “probably” means a seat in a skybox hobknobbing with the rich.
$9,500 “probably” means close to a 50 yard line seat for the proles.
That means, expensive been and concessions, lines to pee.
I can stay home, bathroom is here, beer is cheap, nachos and wings readily available and instant replay. Plus, when I get tired I can easily go to bed.
I really wish the Republicans would start pointing out that the Democrats are the real “Party of the Rich”.
Yeah, this is silly. Sunday’s event will be the most watched Super Bowl in history. The ticket prices will correspond to this. Blame Taylor Swift’s popularity if anything.
I have seen cheap seat tickets going for 3k. For a Vegas Super Bowl weekend this translates to 15K minimum at the cheap end for two people. An event for elitists.
Paramount+ is streaming the game.
What a coinkydink.
The tickets will probably go up at least a grand if Tater Swuft decides she is going to be there with Kelce and they will be making a special announcement during the first Punt. It’s too bad these deadbeat MFL kneelers didn’t use this money to pay back or forward (whichever they prefer) their student loans. America wouldn’t be so far in the financial hole.
I’m going to watch The Sum of All Fears.
Market forces, more demand than tickets.

I’m buying the expensive bacon now. It’s the same stuff as three years ago, just more expensive.

And the 4k picture is beautiful.
Well you’d expect bacon to be expensive at the Superbowl. Even if Reagan was Prez.
