It was a great interview, I learned a lot. It’s refreshing seeing honest reporters report the honest views of competent world leaders.
It’s refreshing to hear the opposing viewpoints. You have to give the guy props. Calm, concise, totally explaining some history. Much more than we get from our current president.
I agree
You’re not supposed to give the other side a voice nor see the other perspectives.
You’re supposed to grunt, talk about what the Kardashians wore at the Oscars, and do as you’re told.
If you start showing there are two sides to the story, it’s just propaganda.
But yes, TC did a good job and everyone knows this is “Putin’s perspective,” which has its own omissions, sugar coating, etc. But they/Russia (((do))) have an argument which basically revolve around: Minsk violation, NATO East expansion, our withdraw from the ballistic missile treaty.
To claim none of the Russian arguments have any merit, is not even remotely honest. We (((ARE))) largely to blame for this war in Ukraine.
Specifically this administration is at fault for this mess, and it is perplexing that the Republicans and political right don’t tear Biden apart over it. But then you need to realize that the political right has a strong anti-russian bias. Some of those knuckle draggers in the bureaucracy and politics still live in a Cold War, and sadly they are to blame for what has become a self fulfilling prophecy.
