Joe Biden showed up at a room partly filled with members of the Culinary Workers Union at the Vdara Hotel in Las Vegas and almost nothing happened. One of the things that didn't happen was enthusiasm on the part of the audience which, as you can see was almost nonexistent. Also missing was energy which remained at a very low level throughout the event. Keep in mind this was a carefully selected group of his supporters yet it still resulted in a laughably listless encounter.

Union members, when given a chance to work or take a paid break to visit Biden, all chose to keep working.

There were a bunch of them sitting there. Most didn’t bother to get up when he approached them however. Some didn’t want to shake his hand. Which says a lot.

Normally in an election year, folks get charged up and having both candidates out...helps Senators/House members/governors to get points.
