Tucker had some dupes but some of the comments were humorous, others were deadly true.

Crimea only became Russian dominant after Stalin pretty well banished most all the last non-Russians.
Lots of places became part of the Imperial Russian Empire, succeeded by the Soviet Empire. That didn’t make everything “Russian”. Even in formal “Russia”, “minorities occupy most of the territory. It is from those “minorities” Putin is conscripting a lot of his cannon fodder.

I got this off a link on Twitter. It came out so soon after Tucker talked with Putin which surprised me. It sounded so realistic but I’m wondering if AI put this together? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Putin just handed the Ukrainians a gift.
Putin admits Ukraine is not a country but really a part of Russia, and he did not invade, he was defending what is and always was Russia. No talk of peace.
That puts to bed the nonsense excuse of NATO encroachment, defending ethnic Russians and christianity, fighting Globohomo, “Nazis” blah blah blah.
The rest of his talk was just taking potshots at the USA.
Methinks the aid package efforts in Congress just got a boost today.

Not quite. The deals to not expand NATO east of Germany were made to the USSR, while the Warsaw Pact was still in place.
In the preamble of the Belovezha Accords, all three founding member countries of the USSR - Russia, Belarus and Ukraine - together, and amicably, asserted that the “geopolitical reality” of the USSR was over.
AFTER that statement, and in fact BECAUSE of that statement, the Warsaw Pact became irrelevant.
That is how come every country in the Warsaw Pact - and indeed every country that used to be in the USSR - was entirely free to join the CIS, join CSTO, join the EEC, join NATO, or do something else completely.
Because that’s what “The USSR, as a subject of international law and a geopolitical reality, is ceasing its existence” actually meant.
Of course only Putin’s Russia seriously thinks
1. that it can play a Mulligan on its own amicable divorce agreement fifteen years after it signed the legal paperwork and finalised it in public.
2. that if your ex moves on after the divorce is final, and you don’t, your ex’s new partner is someone who’s “stomped all over” your marital rights, not because it’s true but because you’re a bitter, butthurt, drunken, supermassively inadequate sad sack who hasn’t moved on and blames everyone but yourself for you being in a worse state than your ex.
But anyway! Putin got some good lines in, there’s some stuff in there that’s good to take away, and as expected Tucker threw nothing but softballs throughout the whole darned thing. Not once did he take the opportunity to actually ask Putin anything really tough.
No wonder Putin was in a good mood. He got a far, far tougher grilling in his meeting with the UN Secretary General last year. (Probably why the bitter, butthurt, inadequate sad sack that is Putin felt it necessary to fire rockets into Kyiv a few days later, while the UNSG was meeting Zelenskyy - had to let off all that pent-up frustration somehow.)
I wondered how long until the fog cleared....
