I’m close enough to Iowa that I see some caucus ads on TV sometimes. I just saw an anti-DeSantis ad from some generic political group and wondered who is behind this. Trump supporters? Haley supporters? I assume the latter. Haley and the GOPe want to get to a 2-person matchup to have any chance of derailing Trump. I don’t think Trump sees DeSantis as a threat, more of an annoyance and wouldn’t waste his time and resources derailing a campaign that seems to be imploding on its own.

He’s a governor of Florida, he’s already got a job. I’ve been trying to figure out why he started campaigning for president. In the first place. I thought he left DC after his stint up on Capitol Hill and to me that kind of speaks to the fact that DC ain’t his kind of town and he wasn’t that happy living there.

The only other reason I can think of is that it got put on the honey-do list after the wife told him to.
