When I first read about Neom in October 2017, it was a crazy, whacked-out idea for a pop-up city in the desert of Saudi Arabia.
When completed, it will be 33 times the size of New York City.
Today, Saudi officials say it is 20% completed, and this video proves it.

No sane person, but it’s becoming clearer and clearer by the day that we no longer live in a sane world.
I can think of 100 reasons why this is a colossally bad idea. Just securing the building in that part of the would will be impossible. 200 Iranian drowns could burn the hole thing down.
Too many eggs in one basket if you ask me.
But not to fear I don't think that God will be needed to destroy the New Babylon, human engineers are already on the job.
There's nothing like the human *experts* to screw things up, is there?
My prediction is it will be the biggest real estate White Elephant ever. China has many phantom cities they built, this , I think, is even worse.
They are wasting the wealth building this but it’s their money to burn.
What water source do they have? Looks like a long way to pump desalinated seawater.
Why not rebuild the old Babylon? It is on trade routes.
The Israelis will only accept the resettlement of Gazans to Europe or the US.
