Maine, Colorado, and the Democrats May Have Just Handed Trump 2024
Red State ^ | 12/29/2023 | Brandon Morse

Posted on 12/29/2023 6:10:59 PM PST by SeekAndFind

Last week I wrote about how a good deal of former President Donald Trump's popularity is fueled by pure spite by the people whose lives have been damaged or made harder by the Biden administration's destructive policies.

His popularity has risen in part because the Democrats have made it very clear to the American people that they fear Trump, and if the people who've made your life miserable are telling you that they're afraid of someone, you're probably going to gravitate toward that figure and attempt to put him between yourself and them:

My theory is that as Biden and the Democrats cause more suffering, they create a byproduct of spite which people will then use to select which opponent of the administration they'll end up voting for. Combined with the fact that the entirety of the Democrat Party attack machine has been aimed at Trump, including endless media reports, a weaponized justice system, and a mugshot that gave Trump "outlaw" status, you can bet that the Democrats have effectively told people who the party is afraid of.

This has caused the people to infuse Trump with even more support, causing him to only grow in influence despite never having appeared on a debate stage. In fact, I'm willing to bet that a lot of the people now supporting Trump haven't actually seen anything he's had to say over the past few years with the exception of random clips they accidentally came across. I think many people just remember that things were much better under him and got much worse when he was gone.

Keep in mind that the people who now support him aren't all GOP voters. Many of them are Independents and former Democrats who feel Reagan's old saying about not leaving the party but the party leaving him.

Every single attack on Trump has only increased his power. Trump has yet to step on a debate stage this election season and he's been the runaway choice for the GOP primary since the word "go." If the Democrats had never mentioned Trump again after 2020, he wouldn't be half as popular as he is now, but the Democrats couldn't stop obsessing over him.

And for some reason, Democrats never learned this lesson.

Many Democrats in positions of power have attempted to get their names on the books by attempting to be the stone that finally trips Trump and stops him from running in the 2024 election against Joe Biden. Each attempt has failed to do what it was supposed to, which brings us to the latest one.

Colorado successfully took Trump off the ballot in that state, and this was quickly followed up by Maine. They used section 3 of the 14th Amendment to do this, which is an old law that effectively disqualifies anyone who led or participated in a rebellion against the government. Democrats point to January 6 as their excuse, even though Trump did not lead or participate in the events of that day.

I'm not sure if these decisions from these states will survive the U.S. Supreme Court, making it one more failed attempt to stop Trump.

What I do know is that this move will be one more can of gasoline on the raging bonfire of spite that the American people feel against the Democrat Party and I don't see how this doesn't have the added effect of making him more desirable than ever before.

Here's how I see this playing out...

More Democrats in various states are going to attempt to put their name on getting Trump kicked off their state's ballots in an attempt to win clout amongst their peers and possibly secure themselves high positions down the line. This issue will likely go to the U.S. Supreme Court and be shot down. As even The Guardian mentions, utilizing the 14th Amendment to accomplish this comes with its own hidden landmines:

Nor is it clear if section 3 applies to the presidency. An early draft mentioned the office, but the final draft did not. If it does apply to the presidency, Trump’s lawyers will argue that it is a political question that should be decided by voters and any effort by judges to get involved is a denial of the candidate’s right to fair legal procedure because it was made without the benefit of a public trial.

They may also argue that January 6 was not an insurrection but more akin to a riot that Trump was not himself involved in and that he wasusing his rights of free speech when he cajoled the crowd: “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country any more.”

If — and likely when — the attempt to keep Trump off the ballot fails it'll be one more signal to the public that Trump is a strong, unstoppable candidate that the Democrats can't seem to stop. It'll be one more feather in his cap as he all but meanders toward the White House.

The bottom line is that Trump was given another push by the Democrats and will likely continue to get these unintentional endorsements for free until the SCOTUS shoots it all down. This will leave Democrats empty-handed and embarrassed and Trump will once again walk away looking like a man who can't do anything but win. It's just more momentum.

Democrats have made Trump the most popular candidate going into 2024. They're addicted to the act, and as voting day in 2024 gets closer, the panic will only rise and the Democrats will continue to make fools of themselves trying to stop the elephant in the room from sitting wherever it wants.

And the more they do it as they make the people suffer, and the spite only grows, the more likely it is he'll be delivered straight into the White House by the very same Democrat Party that's struggling desperately, and failing, to keep him out.

There's still a lot of time before that moment occurs. Life is unpredictable and Trump may find himself a meteoric fall before people reach the voting booth. It's entirely possible he may never reach the general debate stage, although that seems unlikely at this point.

Democrats display themselves to be idiots then.

If no Trump on the ballot in the general, then vote for RJK Jr to take the state.

May not be a bad move. The republican is not likely to win either but the democrat candidate will likely need the electoral votes. If RFK, Jr. wins those states, it may screw the dems.

Colorado expressly said no write in votes would be counted.

The Supreme Court has yet to make a ruling.

The Supreme Court shouldn't get involved. If a state decides to be an @$$hole about Trump, well, that's their problem. It's a political issue.

If somebody's guns are getting confiscated, then yes, the Supreme Court must get involved.

I think the SCOTUS is going to punt.

Kavanaugh and ACB will agree with Roberts.

You have Gorsuch, Alito and Thomas who will intervene so that's just three.

In other words, 1860 redux.

In that scenario, Biden wins.

I think the SCOTUS is going to punt.

That is my expectation as well.

I can hope for better results, but I haven't had a very good track record with hope. Plan B involves bracing for the crash and the civil war that follows a Democrat victory in the 2024 "election".

I do not believe the Democrats, or the Republicans will survive the civil war. That future is up for grabs. How ever it turns out, it will be a very different country than what we once had or have now.

I doubt it. I think most people in the MAGA nation will expect that the election will be fixed. We will be quiet about it. And live our lives as normal. Some of us will drop out of the political process. What's the point? Gavin Newsom will win in 2028.

If the Supreme Court punts, I can imagine at least nine of the 11 Northeastern states, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, all West Coast states except Alaska, and New Mexico following suit. Add Colorado, and you have 18 states disqualifying Trump. The Republicans will retaliate, likely first in very red states like Wyoming, Idaho, and Oklahoma disqualifying Biden. That would trigger a tidal wave in the Republican led states. All the Plains states, the South other than Georgia and Virginia, and possibly Missouri, Indiana, West Virginia, and Ohio will remove Biden from their respective ballots. There would be somewhere from 15 to 19 states where Biden is disqualified. In total, from 33 to 37 states will have disallowed either Biden or Trump ballot status. Basically you have no valid election and neither side will accept the results.

Biden loses but so does Trump. The Left controls most of the levels of power but they do not control the vast areas between the cities. Much of the military is overseas. While the Left controls the Pentagon, the state governors in the red states may command their National Guard units to disobey Washington's directives. There may even be mutinies in blue state National Guard units.

The Deep State may be gambling that they can control the situation as the old methods of mass media propaganda, intimidation, and subterfuge are failing. They are switching from Fabian tactics to Leninism. As I mentioned previously, they may be willing to sacrifice nations threatened by Russia, China, and Iran to achieve their goal of fully communizing America. They will need loyal units of the armed forces in this country as the Federal police agencies do not have enough manpower or firepower to control the areas beyond the immediate West Coast, the Northeast corridor, and a few inland strongholds like Chicago and Denver.

They won't allow RFK Jr. to be on the ballot either, either by lawfare or other methods that have proven to be effective when dealing with troublesome Kennedys. Nothing says "democracy" like allowing only one candidate to be on the ballot.

Trump basher Maine SoS Sheanna Bellows swore she was “unbiased”
as she desperately tripped over herself to get facetime on media outlets

REALITY CHECK “Unbiased” Bellows Cashed in big time
w/ Left-Wing Mega-Donors in her Failed 2014 Senate Bid

<><>Bellows received 10’s of thou$and$ from left-wingers for her losing Senate campaign in 2014.
<><>She has spoken openly about her antipathy for Trump,
<><>she “believes” Trump is guilty of “insurrection,”
<><>Trump has never been charged with or convicted of insurrection

<><>Bellow’s 2014 donor list suggests she has compelling ulterior motives to bar Trump.
<><>ambitious Bellows is eager to suck-up to the left
<><> she needs to appease deep-pocketed lefties to launch her plans to launch herself into higher office.
<><>Bellows received big bucks from George Soros’ daughter, among other wealthy Dem lefties.
<><>Fred Eychaner the largest contributor to liberal PACs in 2012, anted up over $12 million.
<><>George Soros, a longtime Trump opponent, donated $10 million to Hillary Clinton in 2016.
<><>Andrea Soros is a board member of the liberal Open Society Policy center,
<><>OSPC gave millions to groups against Trump, in support of P/Parenthood and other lib PACs.
<><>S. Donald Sussman, Dem Rep. Chellie Pingree’s ex, a hedge fund manager gave $20 mill-plus to Dems as of 2020.
<><>Bellows pocketed some $200,000 in ad spending from left wing PAC’s “Democracy in America,” and MoveOn.org.
<><>Sussman and Soros, were major donors attempting to gain Dem control of state legislatures w/ redistricting shams.
<><>Bellows also received funding from various left-wing advocacy groups and labor unions,
<><>donors include America Works, the Center for Freethought and Equality, and the Intl Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Raising further questions about Bellows’ objectivity are the many pictures of herself with President Joe Biden, some of which the president took with her phone.

Before she issued her decision, Bellows was asked by Trump’s legal team to recuse herself from the decision because she had already formed a biased opinion, which she advertised in several social media posts, but she refused.

Concerned Maine Republicans intend to challenge Bellows’ decision in Maine Superior Court.

Judging from the erudite comments critiquing Bellows for dumping Trump,
on themainewire.com, I’d say she is working the wrong side of the street.

@the watcher posted on themainewire.com:

Bellows ballot dumping is a direct violation of the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment.

As a state officer, she is required to carry a surety bond, and she personally can be sued for this violation.

The insurance company that issues this bond is likely to tell her that she is on her own;
she has made this ruling, not on a due process court ruling, but of her own volition.

Any town officer that violates the rights of the citizens can face the same reprisal.

Trump is NOT going to be President again, dems have mastered cheating, there’s no way in hell they will allow him to be President again, no way in hell. Doesn’t matter what the polls say, doesn’t matter what anyone says, it’s not going to happen.
