You know of nothing Trump has said that makes sense? I thought you were a supporter of his?
I can think of several myself immediately:
1) An open border is a bad thing and it needs to be secured.
2) Weakness on the world stage is bad for America’s interests
3) All NATO countries should be paying the share of defense they all agreed to and are bound to under the charter. The US cannot be a welfare provider for other nations who have the means for contributing to defense.
4) Lowering the costs of production make the US more competitive in the world economy.
5) Energy independence is vital to both our economic and national security interests
Avoid UNNECESSARY UNPRODUCTIVE FOREIGN WARS WITH BORROWED MONEY, is Trump’s supreme common sense.
Add up treasure blood loss for Vietnam war, Afghan war, Iraq war, Ukraine war. Benefits ZERO. Cost enormous.

Trump is taking a page out of Biden’s 2020 strategy by skipping the debates and limiting his public appearances. Part of it is due to his legal troubles. Part of it is due to the fact that he is ahead in the polls and doesn’t want to change what is working. Part of it is due to the fact that his campaign war chest is not doing well. But I would not be surprised if part of it is due to the fact that he’s 77 years old.
