Disorder has broken out in Dublin city centre, amid anger about the attack. One of the children and a woman are being treated for serious injuries, police said. A suspect has been detained.
Police have said a "complete hooligan lunatic faction driven by far-right ideology" is behind violent protests in Dublin after three young children were injured in a stabbing outside a primary school.
Protesters have let off flares and fireworks at police as one of the children, a five-year-old girl, and a woman in her 30s are being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
Officers with riot shields are holding back crowds in the city centre and where a police car and a double decker bus have been seen on fire amid anger following the "appalling attack" in Parnell Square East.
A fire has also broken out inside a damaged Luas tram as violence continues on O'Connell Street in Dublin city centre.

See, the problem is not small children being attacked in broad daylight near a school. The *real* problem is the ultra-right-wing bigots who take issue with small children being attacked in broad daylight near a school.
I remember reading history in school and Nazi Germany was described as “far right.” That’s right, the socialist Nazis are far right. Subsequently, I learned this was started by professors at US universities because they didn’t want Nazism, which was leftist, to be associated with their move to the left. This is one of the most successful rebrandings in history.

So, lemme get this straight... if you’re sick and tired of immigrants of the head-chopper variety causing havoc in your homeland, want them deported, and want your country to remain your country, you are a far-right lunatic hooligan. Well, count me in.
The other successful rebranding by the Left, was making Vietnam “Nixon’s War”, instead of Kennedy and Johnson’s war.

Generally all nationalists were lumped together as “right-wingers” in political science when I was in college... regardless of actual underlying philosophy. Left-wingers enjoy puttingt people in boxes, it’s a means of control, even if the boxes are obviously inapt.
Mostly peaceful protest.
So the problem is the Irish being upset that their ‘new arrivals’ are stabbing Irish children.

Dubliners arev angry.. they’ve had a lot of assaults from North African “migrants” there... this attack on school children appears to have uncorked the pressure that has been building.
If the far right is against children getting stabbed - count me in.
