Adherents of the “prison abolition” ideology believe there should never be prison time for comrades, no matter the nature of the crime. But life in prison for opponents of the Left, especially including Jan6 defendants.
I could go for abolishing prison. Impose execution (without endless delays) for the worst. Singapore caning for thieves and robbers.
Slavery as punishment for crime is still authorized under the 13th Amendment (Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted ...)

There should never be prison time for violent activists. Hang them immediately following conviction. They should not have to spend a day in jail.
