University of Maryland police are trying to find the individual responsible for writing “Holocaust 2.0” in chalk Thursday on campus during a pro-Palestinian protest.
The public university’s leaders announced the police investigation Friday while condemning the “hateful, antisemitic sentiments.”
“The University of Maryland Police Department (UMPD) has launched an immediate investigation and continues to conduct real-time threat assessments. Responsible parties will be held accountable,” the statement read.
Jonathan Allen, a University of Maryland alumnus and associate director of government relations at the Anti-Defamation League, first drew attention to the incident in a post on X.
Allen shared a photo of the chalk message as well as a video from the protest of the crowd chanting, “There is only one solution: Intifada revolution!”

Once again we have a confusing article.
Who is responsible for ‘Holocaust 2.0’?
Most likely Jewish supporters who recognize there is no difference between the actions of the Nazis and the Palis. And so they see what Hamas is doing is akin to another holocaust.
I don’t think it’s a confusing article.
You can interpret “Holocaust 2.0” two ways:
1. It’s a call to exterminate Jews written by Pali / Hamas sympathizers.
2. It’s a statement that what is going on right now IS “Holocaust 2.0” and it was written as a warning by a Jew.
The authorities obviously believe it to be #1. As do I.
So you admit ‘Holocaust 2.0’ can be taken in two different opposite ways.
Yet you don’t think that’s confusing?
I believe it’s number one as well.
Whoever wrote it failed in sending a clear message.
Except the true believers do not believe the holocaust even happened.

I don’t think the article is confusing about that.
What’s confusing is the scribbler’s intent. The author of the article is dealing with a confusing situation.
So the brilliant minds here on FR cannot figure out the scribbler’s message.
OK, let’s think about this logically:
The scribbler is an idiot who cannot communicate clearly.
Ergo, the scribbler must be a poorly educated progressive leftist.
Progressive leftists want to exterminate all Jews.
Therefore, it must be #1.
I would not assume that “Holocaust 2.0” was written as hatred at the Jews.
IMHO it is an apt description of the pogrom-in-progress taking place in the public colleges and universities...and even in too many public schools.
