The man had been convicted of trespassing. But footage revealed by Tucker Carlson proved he had been escorted through the Capitol Building.
The Navy veteran served 27 months of a 41-month sentence and then was released. Now, he’s back. And his plans will surely have Democrats shocked.

The 35-year-old filed a statement of intent on Thursday that he intends to run on the Libertarian Party ticket, per the Daily Mail. This comes after the Republican who has held the seat since 2018, Debbie Lesko, said that she will not be on the ballot in 2024. She is 64.
Republican Debbie Lesko announced she is not running for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District in 2024. This leaves the seat vacant for what will probably be a number of candidates, Republicans and Democrats alike.
But Jacob Chansley, the one-time “Qanon Shaman” filed paperwork to run for the seat as a Libertarian.

It’s worth noting that the man, who was an outspoken Trump supporter, plans to run as a third-party candidate. Libertarians share many values with Republicans but differ on some key points, including the legalization of various recreational drugs.
Chansley became a symbol for the events of January 6. Democrats used his image to evoke the idea that Trump supporters were “reckless insurrectionists” who sought to overthrow the government. Prosecutors seemed to suggest Chansley was a dangerous, perhaps violent person.
His lawyers maintained he was a “gentle and intelligent young man.” Chansley is a U.S. Navy veteran. That might win over voters, who are eager to support former servicemembers for Congress.
As of this writing, it is unknown which candidates he will be up against. Chansley will need to jump through a variety of hurdles before he ends up on the November ballot. His chances of winning, of course, nobody can guess now.

He may have wanted to try running for local Councilman or Administrator first, but good luck to him.
Q-Shaman or Jacob Chansley may have the same problem as Curtis Sliwa, leader of New York’s Guardian Angels. Curtis has run for higher office many times, but never wins. I think part of Curtis’ problem is while campaigning, he is always seen wearing that red beret. Until he ditches the Guardian Angel’s red beret, most people will only see him as the pushy local activist and radio talk show host, nothing deeper than that.
Jacod Chansley has a steeper hill to climb. The public only knows him as Q-Shaman. He will need to establish credibility. That often takes several years unless you appeal to a growing movement at just the right time.
Appealing to a movement is what happened with AOC.
She made the right public remarks, had the right appearance and feisty temperment at just the opportune moment.

If you asked the 435 members of Congress who Jacob Chansley was, probably less than 10 would have any idea who the guy is.

If Chansley stands any chance of winning the Feds (Democrats) will throw him back into prison for something...or nothing at all. He’s also at risk for Arkancide.
