Yeah, no sh*t, making it "mandatory" increases vaccination rates. Threats and coercion work. That doesn't make it right.

I blew one of my Lefty co-workers' mind today when I said I was going to get a flu shot, but not Covid-19 shot. She just didn't understand why I would get one and not the other, even when I spoon fed it to her:

flu shot:
conventional, proven technology
modestly effective, which they're honest about

Covid-19 mRNA vaccine:
unproven, experimental technology
g*d-awful track record in terms of efficacy
links to heart ailments
surrounded by enough (proven and admitted!) lies to fill a mansion if printed out

Gee, why would I assess one as worth the risk and not the other..? I understand there are others here who don't agree with my willingness to get a flu shot, but I suspect they understand that it's at least a rational decision on my part: I've assessed the risk/reward ratio with decent data, and decided to proceed, where others may not. But regarding the C-19 shot: is there even any honest, comprehensive data out there to base a decision on? It's surrounded by lies and "corrections," and was sold as practically being a snake oil-esque miracle cure. I've met con-men who were more honest about their scams than our "officials" have been about the Covid-19 shots.

I've seen plenty of claims about the mRNA vaccinations here that I know to be complete BS as someone with a molecular genetics background, but that doesn't even matter in the big scheme of things: if you want me to inject something into my body, you damn well better prove it's in my best interest. "They" have utterly, completely failed to do so.

I actually have high hopes for mRNA vaccination as a general technology in the long run, but the Covid-19 shots look to be a disaster at the present time.
