Last Sunday President Emmanuel Macron who's been on a conservative "law and order" path for much of this year tried to strike a more progressive tone last Sunday calling for abortion to be enshrined in France's constitution.
Prior to his re-election last year, Macron moved the bar for abortion in France from 12 weeks to 14 weeks proclaiming it to be "Pro-Choice". In the United States some states like Mississippi passed slightly more liberal 15-week abortion laws proclaiming them to be "Pro-Life".
This weekend marks five years since the Yellow Vests protests first emergeed in November of 2018...

Meanwhile in Paris today a much larger protest some 60-thousand according to the organizers and only 19-thousand according to the police. It was a "March for Gaza" a pro-Palestinian demonstration...
