The United States military is suffering a recruitment crisis says Robert A. Green Jr., an active-duty commander in the United States Navy.
“If I had a message for the American people, it would be this: The DoD (Department of Defense) cannot now be trusted with your sons and daughters,” Cmdr. Green warned.
“The failures of the past 20 years will continue unless there is radical action to right the ship, rebuild trust by defending individual rights, and re-prioritize warfighting readiness,” he continued. “We need to clean house, particularly at the highest uniformed leadership positions.”

I had to read this a couple of times before I got it.
That you got it at all is surprising, as it is subtle, and I figured very easily missed. I provided the lol and sos as hints because of it.
One of my finer moments as a dad jokester, I believe. One might be able to use this in a woke crowd and have it go over their heads, mostly, and excuse one’s self as stumbling over words with the remainder.
guarantee, the democRATS will be pushing a draft soon. And 5-10 RINOs will agree.
I’ve got a nephew who is a jarhead, and while he is doing well himself and enjoys many aspects of the life, things have gone down hill so fast on the woke/ soy boy end of things that he is counting down the days until the hitch is up, even though he’d spent the first half planning to re-up.
I fully agree with the Commander.
I encouraged my son not to join up 19 years ago when we could see the slide that began at least 30 years ago.
All his friends who joined are walking away. Lots of them.
Only one cousin staying in.out of 8 folks leaving.
I have a nephew in the navy, who’s about to be moved from San Diego to DC. Poor guy. I hope he’s not already too woke. Had a bit of a falling out with his never-trumper wife and their belief that the vaxx was a good idea.
“Had a bit of a falling out with his never-trumper wife and their belief that the vaxx was a good idea.”
Don’t waste your time hoping for the best; they’re most likely beyond hope.
When effeminacy takes hold of a culture, it apparently ceases to be civilized.
I think you’re right. Problem is, they have 3 kids and I keep sending them money each Christmas for the kids. Maybe I should just stop. Next year, I’ll be retired and won’t have as much $$ to give out. Haven’t had a “thank you” in the last 2 years, so maybe I should cut my losses.
Weakness breeds war. Soon, very soon we will be in a war. We will face many Bataans and Wake islands. We will be shocked at how weak we have become. I predict six months of defeats, Lots of ships sinking. Before we can comeback. If the war lasts a year—we will lose. Alaska will go back to Russia, Hawaii, Guam and Samoa to China. Puerto Rico to Cuba. Kosovo to Serbia. Taiwan to the People’s Republic of China. Egypt will get eastern Libya. America will wonder what happened—then seek revenge on our leaders who sold out.
“Haven’t had a ‘thank you’ in the last 2 years, so maybe I should cut my losses.”
So there you have it. My sister and I stopped gifting our nieces and nephew for the same reason. Not even an acknowledgement of receiving the gift, much less a Thank You. Cut off!
The last straw was when we made a quilt for our brother’s graduating niece. After a month we had to ask if she had received it because we hadn’t heard anything. Nonchalant, “Oh, yeah.” That was it. Pffft!
I’m pretty sure he won’t be a commander after Monday, but he spoke the truth
I imagine if he is going to DC that he is wide-awake.
The headline says the opposite of what the commander said.
He sure won’t go up and at Commander (Lt Colonel) he may be about to retire anyway at around 20 years.
I fear you are correct. The military appears to have ruined him. Or his wife (who ironically dislikes her mother so much that she didn’t invite her to the wedding - came to find out later on that her mother is quite conservative).
He’s only gone to sea on one ship in his, I think, 12 years in the Navy. I realize that there are plenty of non-nautical tasks in the navy, but it’s still a navy. I think...
Then again, he could be on one of those ships heading to the Middle East where things are very likely to get really hot soon. No thanks to the warmongers in DC who never met a war they didn’t like (nor a munitions manufacturer lobbyist for that matter).
Define “clean(ing) house”.
Thank you for putting that all together.
A fine digest of yet another component of our once-great nation utterly failing.
Now I am further depressed.
He wasn’t going to get there, regardless, because this sort of principled stand has probably been a mark of his career and the higher-ups have taken note of it, and made certain that he did not have the opportunities to fairly compete for promotion to flag rank. Ask me how I know…
Colonel, USAF JAGC (Ret)
