Not surprising. With a shrinking volunteer armed forces the US has no strategic reserves of trained soldiers. Like the professional British Army at the start of WWI, a few months of peer conflict would leave us with no armed forces left.

Ronald Reagan took the easy way and said “pay them more”. His approach may have been proper as it ‘allowed’ the worried young men to think it through for themselves. The rats are the ones to bring it up-let them. When the right November comes along just charge the Democrats want to bring back the draft. Puts them on defense. Make them wordsmith their way out of it. Throw in women being subject to it.

"Article I, Section 8, Clause 16: To provide for organizing , arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States [emphases added], reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;"
So if patriots don't like the way that your federal lawmakers answer your questions about a possible draft at town hall meetings, then primary them in 2024.
On second though, primary all your incumbent state and federal lawmakers anyway, replacing them with pro-Trump agenda lawmakers.

The draft broke the military last time.
Klinger at least did his job with confidence and correctly. The current crop of tranny’s are too busy deciding each morning if they are a man, women or a petrified cat turd.
I served in the early days of the AVF, 76-84. It was a struggle, but I saw great improvement during those years. It would be a horrible idea to bring back the draft. It would not “democratize” the military. The rich and elites have been dodging and buying their way out of the military since the War of Northern Aggression.
I agree with you, but they created the conditions to argue the draft is necessary because they can’t meet their manpower. It was done with a purpose to make it disreputable to serve, so they could say that they need a draft.
I think they want to open the Ukraine war moreso.
there will be no draft. This is a psyops to allow the military to hire a bunch of “mercenary foreigners” who will have no compunction about turning on patriots when the Big guy gives the go signal as the world burns down all around
