Don’t be silly. They get into fights etc. because they’re drunk, but they usually know they’re drunk. Sometimes maybe not. Sometimes they just don’t want to admit it.
I really don’t have a problem with people drinking alcohol or smoking weed in the privacy of their homes. The only thing I would ask is respect the sanctity of human life and don’t get behind the steering wheel and put my life in danger. This coming from an old ‘used to be hard partying Marine.’
Are you kidding? We had been having those debates since I started here. I was even called stupid for choosing Made in the USA over cheaper made by communist slave labor. You can go through my old posts to see some of those debates. You'd have to go back a long time though, because they have been quiet in the past few years.
But you are mixing up apples and oranges. The Chinese have the drug trafficking mission to obliterate our youth (now geezers of course) AND they also have another mission and that is to get every politician on the take or blackmailed so that they do crazy suicidal things like open the borders and ship off all manufacturing to China.
And they're doing that with our consumer dollars thanks to the free traitors, so no, I am not mixing up apples and oranges.
Well, the feds enjoy shooting citizens. Maybe they would be effective against drug users. Maybe it's the one thing they could actually do well.
Maybe, if that was their intention. Judging from all of the drugs that are getting through our open borders, I doubt it.
Yeah, we can tolerate it, as long as it isn't our relatives dying from cancer or getting killed by drunk drivers.
If they did legalize them, would you choose to use them?

As a recovering alcoholic I’ve seen the damage it can do. Ever hear of a ‘’wet brain’’?
For a perfect example of what it can do look at Ozzy Osbourne.
That’s what booze did to him.
I have known several people whose minds are shot because of marijuana. Add in alcohol and others drugs.
As do I. It's terrible what users can become reduced to.

I read this morning, that Boston College and Tufts University are instituting alcohol- and Marijuana-free housing.
It took six decades to learn that SMOKING is dangerous to one’s health. It appears that youngsters are learning much faster about Marijuana.
No point unless maybe pain relief which I doubt it would give anyway.
It isn’t just the pot, it is all the other drugs being added to it that are driving people insane. The brain and neurological damage is irreversible.

I never found weed to give any pain relief. If anything, it seemed to make me more conscious of the pain.
I am still fortunate enough not to have any significant chronic pain. My wife has considerable trouble with arthritis, and she tried THC gummies a few times and said they were useless.
