Apparently, the first-ever use of an Iron Beam combat laser was used in repelling a missile attack on Tel Aviv this evening. pic.twitter.com/1grGAlXzKG

Here is the first video of the Israeli Iron Beam, laser air defense system, intercepting enemy rockets, from today.

Iron Dome is actually a development of an existing Raytheon system and is manufactured by Raytheon and Rafael both in the US and Israel.
I dunno about Iron Beam but the US has been doing directed energy for decades. Every hear of "Star Wars"? It was a little program Mr. Raygun helped fund. Took down the USSR.
Well, yeah. That's partly because of Israel.
I know the difference between a “beam” and a “dome.” Anyone else?
You mean, like Israel does?
Israel is all about Israel. Just like any country should be that wants to survive in this world. There's a reason we sell them export versions of our higher tech weapons.
Well then, shouldn't America be about America?
And shouldn't we treat Israel as Israel treats us?
If Israel won't share the technology that we help pay for, then neither should we share our technology with Israel.
Both the US and Israel withhold technology from the other. Both leak what they want about the other. Status quo all around. I have no problem with the games played.
Lebanon has 100,000 missiles,

Hezbollah in Lebanon: 130,000 -160,000 maybe many more by now
which will be conveniently be turned off during the next Hamas attack.
Israelis develop laser technology to stop missile attacks. Hamas digs up their own water pipes to make overgrown pop bottle rockets.
