My father was a JFK Democrat. Later on he became a Republican. The funniest thing my father ever said about politics was when we were discussing John Kerry and my father said they shot the wrong JFK.

I’m afraid that Biden is, as usual, largely wrong. However, if he managed to be right, it wouldn’t necessarily a bad thing. There is a great deal of pre-Reagan and even more post-Reagan that I can do without. Stay out of duh Bushes.

1) Wide open boarder.
2) Men can get pregnant.
3) Federal law enforcement has no clue who is funding the flights from Africa and Asia to Central America of West Africans and Chinese.

While my parents are now rock-ribbed Republicans, in the early 60’s and through much of the 70’s they were aware that each party housed liberals and conservatives.
Now they all house liberals, and the Pubs sometimes allow the conservatives a controlling degree of involvement.
It’s ‘Democrat’ Party Mr. Schwartz. Not ‘Democratic’ Party.

My parents were life long democrats. Born in the early 30’s.
My grandfather was a democrat county judge. Born around 1900. They all left the party when Johnson came along.
I am glad that none of them are alive to see what our country has become.

And, now, we have to fight most Republican’s we put into office in Texas who have opened the gold chest for every pet project!!!....thank you Gov. Abbott, NOT!!!
We have amendments to vote on in a month here in TX. Just because we had $32 billion to throw around in surplus, now everyone who wants their pet project to have their hands filled will want that forever...Education is no. 1 for the hand in the pot with under 50% success. We are going down with more money, not up????!!!!!! Only government jobs can afford that.
Johnson was a complex character, but he was indubitably brilliant and had enough sense not to eat seed corn and to recognize that some things were not in the general interest in the long run. He also could get things done, which is something admirable in a politician.
One could certainly do better than him, but we have also managed to do worse.
The Great Society was great for the Democratic Party, placing America a somewhat distant second, but given those goals it was rational. I like him better than FDR or Wilson or PolPot or Mao.
They all piss and moan about "This party is really veering left," and "They really shouldn't do that," about any number of atrocities Rats do from promoting abortion to being open communists to open borders to pushing the gay agenda to being satanists to voting for completely corrupt or completely incompetent politicians who of course are also Rats.
But I have NEVER seen even one say, "This party is evil and I will leave it and join another party." NEVER.
The most hypocritical and creepiest example is Dershowitz, a real POS, who rails about everything the Rats do, but, keeps voting Rat, and will continue to vote Rat religiously when he's six feet under.
So please, CryptoRats. Just SHUT UP.

He DESTROYED the lower middle classes with his Great Society garbage. Did so just for the votes, rendered by the increasingly dependent, illegitimate, unwed couples, drug-addicted, lazy, and alcoholics. Obliterated the black middle and lower classes with the Great Society.
He took the so-called Social Security program and, in violation of the law, took revenues and simply mixed them in with the general tax revenues. And spent and overspent them, just like the general fund.
So imagine what a great social insurance program we could have had, if LBJ had not pilfered these funds? And of course the SS now borders on insolvency. Thanks LBJ.
