Former CIA Director and retired Gen. Michael Hayden seemed to call for the death of Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) Monday night.
Quoting a Twitter post that asked, "Should Tommy Tuberville be removed from his committee? Yes or No?" Hayden wrote, "How about the human race?"
Tuberville has been bullied by Senate Democrats and know-nothing pundits since last December over his opposition to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin's creation of an "abortion tourism benefit." As Streiff explained:
In July 2022, Lloyd Austin declared that the Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs vs. Jackon Women's Health adversely impacted military readiness because if pregnant members of the Armed Forces couldn't kill their kids, they couldn't do their jobs. To do this, Austin created a program that allowed military women seeking abortion to be reimbursed for travel expenses and take up to 21 days off — that is not charged against their annual leave balance — for the purpose of having an abortion. On the other hand, if one of your parents dies and you wish to go to the funeral, you pay your own way and get charged for leave. This is a clear violation of federal laws that forbid using federal funds for abortion. In December 2022, Tuberville announced that he would place a "hold" on all senior military promotions.
All the hold does is prevent a few senior military officers from being confirmed in new positions by "unanimous consent." This means each nomination will get a cloture vote before proceeding to a floor vote.
Unlike many Republicans, Tuberville has remained steadfast in his opposition and continues to place holds on senior military promotions. Hayden's retired. What does he care? Or is Tuberville blocking nominees for whom Hayden greased the skids?
We know that Hayden doesn't like Republicans, regardless. In August 2022 he also showed his a** on Twitter when he agreed with a Financial Times editor who tweeted:
I’ve covered extremism and violent ideologies around the world over my career. Have never come across a political force more nihilistic, dangerous & contemptible than today’s Republicans. Nothing close.
Hayden's comment at that time?
I agree. And I was the CIA Director.
Of course, Hayden was one of the dishonest intelligence community veterans who signed a letter dismissing the Hunter Biden laptop story as Russian disinformation, though he knew full well that it was not.
Former USAF Flag Officer & Director of CIA & NSA suggests a sitting US Senator should be assassinated. 👇🏻Despicable.
This is conduct unbecoming a former military officer & should be investigated as such. Completely unacceptable.
Apologize & retract, General. https://t.co/4D8Qp6uBpw— Leslie McAdoo Gordon 🇺🇸 (@McAdooGordon) October 10, 2023
Yes, his conduct should be investigated. Something is really off with this guy.
This is incredibly disappointing. When I worked for him, Hayden’s rep was as a brilliant strategist and one of the high-Integrity minority in the Intel community.
“Hayden’s rep was as a brilliant strategist”
He may well be brilliant—just fighting for the wrong team.
For all we know, Hayden might have greased more than just skids...
Hayden is largely Bushie scum. A 4 star AF General without wings means he’s even more of a back room player than your average general officer. The man is a disgrace.
Look what happened to that disabled guy in Utah for making threats.
To the democrats this Senator would be considered collateral damage in their need for control. Life has no value in their pursuits.
A 6 AM FBI raid on Hayden’s house would be in order. Except they only go after Trump supporters.
Maybe the local Sherif can do the deed instead.
I lost respect for them in how they handled Obama’s fake birth certificate and how they treated the officers under their command.
I am so far past feeling, I am simply numb to anything that would have shocked me 15 years ago.
Cancel Hayden’s retirement money.
Hayden is a typical Air Force General “Egghead” with absolutely no common sense. And he’s a traitor, having declared Hunter’s laptop as bogus.
Hayden has been on my radar since the mid-70’s after reading James Bamford’s books on the NSA (where I was considering applying for employment). I used Bard to call up Bamford’s opinion.
“Author James Bamford has criticized Michael Hayden for his role in the National Security Agency’s mass surveillance programs. In his book The Body of Secrets: Anatomy of the Ultra-Secret National Security Agency, Bamford wrote that Hayden had “a blind faith in the power of technology” and that he was “willing to sacrifice individual privacy in the name of national security.”
Bamford has also accused Hayden of being too close to the Bush administration and of misleading Congress about the NSA’s surveillance programs. In a 2013 interview, Bamford said that Hayden was “a very dangerous man” and that he “should be in jail.”
Hayden has denied Bamford’s accusations, saying that he was “always honest with Congress” and that he “acted in the best interests of the country.” He has also said that Bamford’s book is “full of inaccuracies.”
“
Tuberville is a hero.
I supported W in the general election because I could never support a Democrat (I did that just once -— fell for Jimmy Carter’s Christianity. Boy, what a mistake THAT was!), but I was never comfortable with him. He was an inarticulate boob, dumb as a bag of hammers, led around by the nose by Daddy Bush’s advisors. When he announced, after 911, “Islam is a religion of peace”, that confirmed to me what a fool he was. It was embarrassing to listen to him speak. He served his purpose as the devil’s pawn, though, and a NWO flunky. A younger version of the current Joe Biden.
