Now things will really change! Eight members of the House Republican caucus combined with House Democrats to remove a Republican Speaker for the crime of … [checks notes] … allegedly working with Democrats.
And now, the House will grind to a halt while Republicans pick the next Speaker, who will still have to work with a Senate run by Democrats and a Democrat in the White House to accomplish anything other than investigations. Which, by the way, Kevin McCarthy already had operating.

The most likely way out of this impasse will be to find someone acceptable to enough Democrats to overcome the Rebel Alliance in the GOP. That’s what McClintock means, and that will be precisely where Gaetz et al will have led the Republican majority. And to get there, the GOP will likely have to give up its investigations into Biden Inc in order to get the House back underway.

Kevin was NOT “moving forward”.
Usually when the GOP commits suicide its a slow painful process to watch. Now, in the digital age, they’ve sped up the process by just chopping the head off in one go. And this is the Party so many put faith in to stem the Demon tide?

The DNC buys a half dozen or so Republicans and elects Hakeem Sekou Jeffries.
Nothing is going right in this country. Nothing.
And sometimes you have to roll the dice not knowing how they will land.

I tell you what, what they will do is select another Speaker, and whoever they select will certainly be an improvement.
McCarthy, who liked to make deals with Biden and the democrats, got shafted by the democrats. I suppose that is the unkindest cut of all.
They are also Zeeps and their influence is not all that much.
Ukraine funding is what they are all about.

People shouldn’t bleed too much for Frank Luntz’s boy toy though — he has instantly become the left’s favorite “Republican” and the poor baby will be allowed to milk all the sympathy he can out of this.
