Florida Governor Ron DeSantis must realize by now that he made the biggest mistake of his life by running for president in this election cycle. Common sense should have told him there was NO WAY he could go up against President Donald Trump. However hubris, plus campaign consultants fortified with Murdoch money, convinced him otherwise. And now he wishes he could somehow go back in time and NOT run since that way he would have been the odds on favorite for 2028. Instead his political career is in ashes and you can read it on his face. He is just not into it any longer and the strain is causing bizarre facial contortions and much head bobbing as you can see.
PING!
Ron DeRemorse. 😏
I wish he’d waited till 2028 to run. Now he has baggage that he wouldn’t have if he’d waited. I like him as Gov. of FL, but he just needs to mature a bit more for this vicious presidential stuff. I’d vote for him if he ran in ‘28.
He should withdraw today, Endorse Trump, and begin campaigning hard for Trump. Admit his mistake. We are a forgiving lot. But his ego will get in the way of doing the right thing.
I wish the same thing. It would almost guarantee him the spot in ‘28. I was hoping that he was smarter than an ego!
“He should withdraw today, Endorse Trump, and begin campaigning hard for Trump. Admit his mistake. We are a forgiving lot.”
Agreed.
He needs to put away the shovel and stop digging a deeper hole.
The problem with DeSantis face is that he is not genuine. He is programmed to say the things that he does.
His face isn’t natural because the thoughts are not his own.
Right, and that’s kind of why I think it’s too late for him to do the right thing now. People might forgive him, sure, but he would still have already proven to everyone that he isn’t a leader. He sticks his finger in the wind before he makes a decision, and that’s not what a leader does. And whether it’s his wife, or his campaign consultants, or his donors who he is listening to instead of following his instincts, it just isn’t very presidential.
I was commenting to someone last night, that, despite their obvious failings, both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama showed more leadership qualities than Ron DeSantis currently does. They made very bad presidents, but that wasn’t because they were people pleasers or puppets.
Rhonda Santis’s face looks like she’s got bad menstruation pain.
Honestly, I haven’t seen a candidate this bad who was touted to be the second coming in a long time.
It is all in the eyes, with Ron, it is what isn’t in the eyes. No connection, no sly wit or natural humor, or true fervor that he actually believes what he says. He is Pence who is a cold automaton. Except DeSantis has been coached to try and animate a little, hence the bobblehead and facial movements.
In that one picture of him walking to get the powder on his face behind Haley, he looked like a little kid seeking out and presenting to mommy. That was so unreal and certainly not something you would want others to see.
He should have waited. He’s a good executive and a lousy campaigner.
Doug Burgum would also be a good executive and, like Ron, his campaign is going nowhere.
There’s potential in the future but it seems like Trump just sucks the oxygen out of the room.
I am actually glad people can see him for who he is now. He would have to disavow the GOPe behind his campaign and get a personality transplant if he wanted a future.
The guy has a rubber stamp legislature and it was all designed for this run by the RINOs. He hasn’t had much trial by fire and it shows. Ron has a lot of soul searching to do and needs to become his own man first.
And quit dying his hair
I recall when Ron stated that he would NOT run for President if Trump ran. So much for his honesty .
When I watched it for the fourth time I realized who he reminds me of. He is the absolute reincarnation of Gilligan. Watch the video three times and tell me I’m wrong.
“Florida Governor Ron DeSantis must realize by now that he made the biggest mistake of his life by running for president in this election cycle.”
We still don’t know why he ran, but the working theory is that he ran to bring down Trump (regardless of who ends up in the White House). For that, the jury is out.
Rest assured, Governor DeSantis will endorse whoever wins the GOP primaries.
And why does DeSantis need to drop out now? If he's doing so poorly in the polls, as Trump believes, why not just wait until after Iowa?
So as not to further alienate Trump or the base. Start making nice. Be a man - admit you made a mistake
He needs to get his hiney back to Florida and resume the position we all trusted him to do…time is running out. So many Floridians are disgusted.
