Got lost out there once or more myself.
Dad would tell me “Can’t died in the corn field and Couldn’t and Wouldn’t are lost out there.”
As a kid you would take things literally. There is a dead guy in the corn field! and these other guys don’t sound too friendly either!
Didn’t play in the corn field that year and didn’t get lost.
I suspect she was in absolutely no danger but the parents would never have known that. Those dogs would have eventually forced her to go home and led her there. Dogs are good that way.
The Rottweiler had it under control. Nobody with bad intent, was going to get near her.

You gotta watch those 2-year olds EVERY SECOND. They will disappear on you in a heartbeat.

Seriously...if we’re keeping more than one of the above, we all go out to our large sunroom, lock the doors...and let them pull all the toys out of the former 6-foot square dog pen. No...we don’t sequester them in the dog pen...but the thought has occurred to us.

Chase was still at home when Thea was found, but heard on the radio she was alive and was returning home on the ATV.
“I ran outside when I heard she was up here. The minute she sees me she says, ‘Hi Mommy!’ like nothing happened. She was giggling. I was trying to compose myself,” Chase described.
