Absolutely scared spitless were those parents. They’ll keep a closer eye on that wanderer here on in.

The child’s disappearance sent shockwaves through the community, prompting an exhaustive search effort involving authorities and concerned neighbors.

Used to be a common occurrence when I grew up. Kids getting lost in the corn fields.

Got lost out there once or more myself.

Dad would tell me “Can’t died in the corn field and Couldn’t and Wouldn’t are lost out there.”

As a kid you would take things literally. There is a dead guy in the corn field! and these other guys don’t sound too friendly either!

Didn’t play in the corn field that year and didn’t get lost.

I suspect she was in absolutely no danger but the parents would never have known that. Those dogs would have eventually forced her to go home and led her there. Dogs are good that way.

The Rottweiler had it under control. Nobody with bad intent, was going to get near her.

Good dog!

You gotta watch those 2-year olds EVERY SECOND. They will disappear on you in a heartbeat.

Signed,
A Grandad with a 4-year-old, 3-year-old, 2-year-old and 1-year-old grandchildren.

Seriously...if we’re keeping more than one of the above, we all go out to our large sunroom, lock the doors...and let them pull all the toys out of the former 6-foot square dog pen. No...we don’t sequester them in the dog pen...but the thought has occurred to us.

Watch those little idgits!

“When she was found, the only reason she was, was because our bigger dog, Buddy, was standing there. The driver said he went to touch her to wake her up because she was still sleeping, and Hartley was growling at him to not touch the kid.”

Chase was still at home when Thea was found, but heard on the radio she was alive and was returning home on the ATV.

“I ran outside when I heard she was up here. The minute she sees me she says, ‘Hi Mommy!’ like nothing happened. She was giggling. I was trying to compose myself,” Chase described.
