An elected president is beholden to his coalition and his big money-men. The scum behind DeSantis will demand more of the same Republican surrender-monkey behavior of DeSantis.
Because voters are tired of the same old Republicans and those same old Republican leaders, the traitors, are backing DeSantis.
I only remember Bush for un-necessary foolish wars and his insult to we the voters when we wouldn’t fold for his illegal immigration crap sandwich.

Indeed. It’s a different Republican party than the days of the Dubya Prayer Threads. Many of the people President Trump has brought on board were either unaffiliated or Democrats, and many of those Bush voters have died.
I have an explanation. DJT has so changed the Republican base that DeSantis conservatives and their message aren't popular. Ronald Reagan was the last successful conservative president, and he was elected 43 years ago. Trump isn't a conservative by most measures, and that explains his popularity.
