Edward Teller, the father of the Hydrogen bomb, received a Nobel Prize for peace in 1991 and was rumoured to be an inspiration for Dr Strangelove.
He died in Stanford on the 9th of September, 2003.
Teller believed: "Life improves slowly and goes wrong fast, and only catastrophe is clearly visible."
His thought provoking words are good enough for me to call him an Indigenous Man Of Anglosphere (IMOTA) but I am not if I admire him.
Only God is omniscient.

He was possessed of an awesome intellect... a level rarely seen.
Intelligence of such a degree is akin to a superpower.
Humanity is lucky in that such people are only very rarely disposed to evil purposes.
A great American patriot!
One of the few top physicists who didn’t harbor the inclination to sneak info to the Soviets...
Teller, Von Neumann, Ulam, Fermi, Lawrence, Seaborg, Segre all delivered far more than Oppenheimer.
They really wanted Fermi to run it but they needed him to design the reactors.
Von Neumann was possibly more brilliant than Einstein.
I worked with Teller (around him mostly) towards the end of his career at Livermore. I was surrounded by really smart people. Teller was SCARY smart.
Dick Post was another one.
Von Neumann was likely the finest mathematician of his time... and a brilliant computer scientist as well..
I envy you, I would have loved to have been able to meet Teller!
That weird looking hydrogen weapon that the Norks displayed a few years ago looked suspiciously like Teller’s first design...
There were many ways to get Dr. Teller upset at you. Mentioning Dr. Strangelove in his presence was apparently one of them.
(The comparison is probably not a good one -- Strangelove was a barely-reformed Nazi; Teller was a Hungarian Jew.)
