Petition to: Governor of SC - SC General Assembly - SC Attorney General - State Elections Commission
We the undersigned, respectfully petition the SC State Election Commission (SEC) , SC Attorney General, SC General Assembly, and Governor of South Carolina to immediately require the use of hand-marked paper ballots in all South Carolina elections and for these elections to be hand-counted at the precinct level. We also request elimination of the early voting period and to return to one day of voting.
[Your Name]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We ask that you consider the following points that support the requirement of secure hand-marked, hand-counted paper ballots:
U.S. national security agencies, DHS, voting system experts, cybersecurity experts, and the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence agree that paper ballots are required for a secure election. Furthermore, state and federal involvement in our elections violates the privacy of South Carolina Citizens’ data (S.C. Const. art. I, § 10). In addition, Albert Sensors that monitor our machines through the CIS (Center for Internet Security) pose a serious concern over state rights and federal intrusion in our election process, violating the 10th Amendment of the US constitution.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
South Carolina voters cannot verify their vote as the ballots have barcodes to represent voter selections. Furthermore, our vote is counted in secret as there currently is no way for citizens to independently confirm the progression of the vote count through the tabulator machines as Cast Vote Records (a standard audit tool) aren’t available (June 2023). This violates our South Carolina Constitution Article II Section 1:
Elections to be by secret ballot; protection of right of suffrage. All elections by the people shall be by secret ballot, but the ballots shall not be counted in secret.
Hand-marked paper ballots are simple for voters to use and can be counted in a time effective and transparent manner by volunteers with a live video feed. See the proposed bill for a hand-count audit at: https://www.scstatehouse.gov/sess125_2023-2024/bills/4259.htm

Note: Appropriate ADA-compliant accommodations shall be made for voters who are unable to hand mark paper ballots.

South Carolina Ping, please.
Hand counted:
one for you
two for me
That's the CommucRat way. That's why all political parties need to have "trustworthy" poll watchers to watch the "honest" poll workers counting the ballots.
Somehow I'm reminded of the old saying, "computers don't lie." I guess whoever said that was lying.
Registered voters should has a required ink color per voter.
There’s a stupid...
“Somehow I’m reminded of the old saying, “computers don’t lie.” I guess whoever said that was lying.”
seems to me, the computer doesn’t lie, the programer and those in the know of what was programed may be liars to those they wish to deceive.
