It appears McCarthy is backing down after claiming he will look at opening a Biden impeachment inquiry without a floor vote since several Republican lawmakers are not convinced there is enough evidence of Biden corruption.
Because bank statements, informants, witnesses, credible whistleblowers, emails, WhatsApp messages and documents from Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell isn’t enough evidence.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he will not open an impeachment inquiry without a formal vote on the House floor.
House Republicans currently have a slim majority of 222 to 212 and one vacancy.
McCarthy is now backing down as he continues to kick the can down the road.

It’s not a waste of time. You cannot have one party impeaching over imaginary crimes and the other won’t even do it for real crimes.
There’s a 0% chance of a Senate conviction, but it will still be worthwhile. Most of the public won’t hear about the details of his bribery scheme unless it’s presented to them by the impeachment managers since the media is doing everything they can to hide it.
At least we will find out who the Reps are that are against impeachment.

I speak the language rather well, so I’m thinking of Hungary. But here’s the problem. A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link. One bad election in Costa Rica or in Hungary, and everything goes to hell, and fast.
Maybe a nice house in rural Idaho or rural Tennessee might do the trick instead.
Although it is possible he’s doing this to smoke out RINOs, and/or to get Dems on record when even more damning info on Biden comes out.
Who says they’re doing nothing? Biden’s legislative agenda is dead. There are now 51 Democrat senators. Who only knows the crazy stuff they would be passing like they did 2021-2022. More green new deal, maybe expanded supreme court, tax breaks for blue state tycoons. Who only knows.
I agree that this should be an easy impeachment vote. A multimillion dollar government bribery scheme is not a stained blue dress.
Impeachment is not a waste of time. Besides being obligatory Constitutionally, it is the only way the Reps can force the MSM to cover the Biden Family crimes. Right now, the MSM, except for Fox, is not covering the story. It is being suppressed while the Tump indictments are on 24/7.
We need to get down the road a bit...Hunter needs to get slapped first...
