Politics might briefly be put on pause when it comes to federal/state cooperation in dealing with Hurricane Idalia.
But the Trump-hating liberal media never sleeps!
During today's Morning Joe, Willie Geist and Jonathan repeatedly emphasized that politics are being put aside in the dealings between the Biden administration and the administration of Florida Governor -- and potential Biden presidential opponent -- Ron DeSantis, as they organize the response to Hurricane Idalia.
But when the show aired DeSantis's live briefing on the hurricane, the very first question out of the box from a reporter was a snarky shot at Donald Trump. The unidentified woman reporter asked:
"What do you think about Trump? You know, he's a resident here in Florida, and he hasn't commented on Idalia at all yet."
To use a favorite Trump adjective, DeSantis, without hesitation, gave the "perfect" response during a crisis, putting politics to the side:
"It's not my concern. My concern is protecting the people of Florida."

Was the reporter given the first question at the briefing, and who used it to take a snarky shot at Trump, a pro-DeSantis plant?
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
The reporter was likely from the Bush, Cheney, Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney division of the Republican Party
That would be the RINO division.
Most likely not
Set up. DeSantis using Pence language that it’s not his concern is interesting. Trump is out of power. Should he be saying things about the hurricane? He doesn’t need to try to grab headlines.
In fact with all his other crucial problems, it would be bizarre and strangely inappropriate for him to address issues about this weak, zero-mortality, forgettable storm.
Asinine question from a Trump hater, was not a zinger. It was a stupid question.
That’s correct.
As if Ron can stop a hurricane. He can’t protect anyone
Liberalism is a mental disease.
They truly can not help themselves. It’s an uncontrollable compulsion. Doesn’t matter the circumstances nor inappropriateness.
I have friends who were obsessive about their hate of Trump. After he left office, they went into a depressive state. The focus of their passion was gone.
Stupid question by a stupid female “reporter”.
Excellent answer by Gov. DeSantis.
Stupid responses by DDS-suffering people on this forum.
...nothing matters at this point, Trump WILL be the nominee. That much is certain and the only reason for the mud-flinging against Trump this time is for the GOP to do their best to get Trump to lose in November.
Yeah, that was a real “zinger” alright ..
I’m waiting for Trump to find a reason to zing DeSantis over his role in disaster recovery. Such a move would be despicable, but I doubt Trump will be able to stop himself.
“...During today’s Morning Joe, Willie Geist and Jonathan...”
Willie Geist and Jonathan? Has there ever been a more Twink name than those two? The Gaydar is off the charts.
I call him Jonathan Craphead..
Oh, for heaven's sake who cares? --- DeSantis has been governor for five years, has been through something like six hurricanes and 20 tropical storms and we're supposed to think it's awesome that he's learned how to clean up after them? If he can't do this at this point, he should just resign.
