Not another one. As I have repeatedly warned my readers, leaders all over the globe seem to have come down with a really bad case of war fever. Instead of sitting down and attempting to find solutions through diplomacy, many of our leaders seem quite eager to use military force to settle matters these days.
There is no peaceful end to the war in Ukraine on the horizon, China is making preparations to invade Taiwan, and the “shadow war” in the Middle East could easily erupt into a full-blown regional conflict. But in this article I am going to focus on the next war that is reportedly about to begin.
A group of nations in western Africa known as ECOWAS is preparing to invade Niger with the approval of the EU and the Biden administration, and CNN is reporting that “D-Day” has already been chosen…
The West African regional bloc ECOWAS says it has chosen an undisclosed “D-Day” for a possible military intervention to restore Niger’s democratically elected president following last month’s coup.
Abdel-Fatau Musah, the Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace & Security of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) bloc, said that military forces are “ready to go anytime the order is given” for military intervention in Niger.

The ECOWAS force expects to find just Niger forces. Somewhere in the mix...there are probably some of Putin’s contracted mercenaries.
It’s possible that some individual general within ECOWAS may rebel and stage a second Niger-like coup, and make the whole thing more difficult to predict.
I just don’t see France or the US having that much interest to entangle themselves into this mess. But there are a number of minerals being mined out of the region.

I suspect China already has Taiwan, they have moles planted everywhere throughout their government and industries.
Which is why we should not be sharing any secrets with Taiwan, since eventually they’ll find their way to Beijing.
I hate to tell Michael Snyder but the Russians are about to wrap up the war in the Ukraine and I’ve heard that the diplomatic hand over of Taiwan to China has already happened. There may well be no kinetic action .

Yes, because corrupt politicians and their toadies intentionally keep the public malinformed; a corrupt and dishonest news media serves as a propaganda machine for corrupt politicians; and millions of people allow themselves to be deceived and misled.
Western Civilization has been in an increasing state of decadence for decades.
The decadence in America erupted into the open during the 1960's as the counter-culture movement. Few people recognized it for what it was.
It was not until the Jimmy Carter Administration that I realized what was going on.
Millions of Americans still have not caught on and are trapped in denial and ignorance. They are the fools of corrupt, self-serving politicians and their fellow travelers, who are exploiting the decay, and they allow themselves to be dangerously manipulated.
They allow themselves to be convinced that the most ridiculous arguments are perfectly reasonable:
e.g. defecation of public sidewalks is perfectly normal and if not there's nothing that can be done to prevent it;Unless these Americans come to their senses--and fast!--the USA is going to fall, and the consequences for the world are too horrifying to imagine.school teachers can change a child's gender and not inform the parents;
open national borders, which allow unfettered trafficking in drugs and people is perfectly acceptable;
it is illegal to question the results of national elections;
American citizens who exercise the right to peaceable assembly can be jailed;
etc. et al.
Can decadence, once it has afflicted a civilization, be reversed? No one knows.
However, if it is to be reversed, only The People themselves can make it happen.
Ultimately it is the American People who are responsible for what's going on, and only they can reverse the decay.

Well, all “private” assets in China are at the beck and call of the government. Their plan is to requisition all the civilian ferries and try to use those to make the crossing. A rather too optimistic plan, I think.

Who cares? You seem to think they are the entire Navy. They are 30 minute targets at best in a peer level war. It is easy to thump your chest about carriers when beating up the Viet Cong or mooselimbs with rusty AK-47s. Try beating up a peer level adversary that can target your boats with effective ordinance.
The Military Industrial Complex thanks you for your easy brainwashing into letting them build expensive boats with your money.
