On what basis would they need to recuse? The appointment itself does not constitute a conflict.
Unlike like Kagan ruling on Obamacare for example, wjhen she was an advocate for the law and actually worked on the legislative language, if I recall.
Or Chutkan working with Hunter Biden’s law firm. Or Chutkan representing Fusion GPS. These are the conflicts that ought to keep a judge off of cases.
If Chutkan does not know that today, (she does), it is a lesson she will be taught.
