No. Woodward & Bernstein weren't upset by the USA trying to imprison the main political opponent to Joe Biden via a weaponized justice system. Instead they were upset by the justice system in Russia and other countries being used to imprison political opponents. However, the Clueless Couple were not alone in missing the irony of condemning the imprisonment of political opposition leader Alexei Navalny in Russia while overlooking the multiple indictments of the main political opponent of the American Deep State, Donald Trump. As you can see, CNN while running their report on the imprisonment of Navalny also ran a chyron at the exact same time on the latest indictment of Trump.
They can take a flying leap.
What about your own countrymen locked up in DC somewhere for crimes they didn’t commit?
PING!
It’s safer to attack one’s enemy in the press publicly if the enemy is not in one’s home country. At least kudos to CNN for the juxtaposition for people paying attention at least with that “cosmic irony.”
Even Russia never thought up the wild idea of opening the doors of the Kremlin, inviting people in, and after they politely complete their tour... ARREST them for committing political crimes.
Thats because the Kremlin never belonged to the people. It was never the peoples house.
Nothing belonged to the people.
Woodward & Bernstein two of the biggest disappointments from the sixties... They functioned as stenographers for a disgruntled FBI agent who wanted to take down a Republican President.
I think we all know the truth now.
If an FBI agent with 3 times the information and much worse crimes to share, but on a Democrat Present - Woodward & Bernstein would turned him away. Woodward & Bernstein weren't after justice or exposing corruption (that's what we thought at the time) - they were just the first of the so called 'journalists' who defined their profession as storm troopers taking down Republicans.
Today the two of these jerkoffs would ignore Hunter's bribery because Hunter has a "D" by his name...Oh wait, that IS what they're doing. They're ignoring that story. True for form... and another reason people trust used car salesmen more than journalists....
