‘On the Brink’: DeSantis Plans ANOTHER Reboot as Cash Crunch Hits
The National Pulse ^ | 07/20/2023 | RAHEEM J. KASSAM

Posted on 07/21/2023 8:33:00 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

Governor Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign is “on the brink,” and attempting another reboot, with campaign manager Generra Peck releasing a statement to NBC News on Thursday admitting, “Ron DeSantis has never been the favorite,” before curiously adding: “No one in this race has been under fire more and won than Gov. DeSantis.”

DeSantis, however, has not been winning in this race – and is even down to 12 points, neck and neck with Vivek Ramaswamy – in a poll released Thursday.

A source present when around a dozen DeSantis staffers were fired last week told NBC: “The entire campaign is on the brink… I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Meanwhile, the staffers who remain insist they’ll succeed with their latest reboot, which is forcing the Governor to join other, pre-planned events by external groups to save on his own campaign costs after burning through $8 million in his first six weeks. In that time, he only lost points in national polling. As a result, he’ll do fewer of his own events, and participate in far smaller ones.

The “new” DeSantis campaign is also expected to feature more “diners and churches,” with Peck concluding her comments to NBC with the phrase: “Buckle up,” which is not usually something you would associated with small events in restaurants and places of worship.

Three polls have been released in the last week showing Trump getting trounced by a drooling half-wit< rocking a 38% approval rating

Monmouth:
Trump loses by 7%, HALF of voters say they'll "definitely not" vote for him, and loses to "third-party ticket."

YouGov/Yahoo:
Trump loses by 4%, with historically low favorability.

Quinnipiac:
Trump loses by 5%, and voters trend Democrat.

Im sensing Jeb Bush (lack of) energy and showmanship, being the best choice for governor of Americas wang and retirement community is good, but has nothing to being best choice for DC beltway swamp duty in a brawl with liberals.

In that case DeSantis must be getting destroyed by Biden. I guess he really is more popular than I assumed

The “new” DeSantis campaign is also expected to feature more “diners and churches,”

So, he is trying to make himself appear to be a populist, which he isn't.

Brings to mind the ole 'where can I get me a huntin' license?'

"Reboot" is not a word you want associated with a presidential campaign.

It conjures up images of internal chaos, infighting, floundering and lack of direction.

This is usually the stage of a losing presidential campaign where there is a "makeover" of the candidate. Attempts will be made to portray him as man of the people. Perhaps more flannel shirts, rolled up sleeves, blue jeans from Sears, work boots, big belt buckle, a desire to "get me a huntin' license" and whatnot. Eating corn dogs at county fairs (and not chucking it into the trash after one bite when the cameras are off).

Are you using the Monmouth Poll, which had a whopping 26% Republicans in its sample? Seriously? Yahoo? Seriously? If you have problems with Trump, state them. But please don’t use BS polls to “Prove” your points.

Had he only sat back and waited for 2028, he’d have been good.

But nope… he’s proving to be quite an idiot, which I guess is our blessing.

Agreed.

Some people want to pretend that it is ‘inevitable’ that Trump will become the nominee. Then, like the Hillary supporters, they refuse to see that Trump will not win the General.

My points:

Trump will not win MI — It now has a majority of Ds in the US House, the state house, the state senate, and the governorship. While some may cross for someone other than Trump, they will not cross for Trump.

Trump will not win PA — His hand-picked candidate went down in flames to a brain dead individual.

Trump will not win GA — He fought against the governor and the governor won re-election with a wider margin than ever.

Trump will not likely win AZ — Again, his hand-picked candidate went down in flames … like he did two years prior. What is he going to change?

Trump supporters need to understand that there are no ‘undecided’ voters when it comes to Trump. He may have gotten through the Big Blue Wall in 2016, but it is now stronger than ever.

Trump does not have a path, and that is why the DOJ is pursuing him. They WANT him to get the sympathy vote so he will become the nominee.

Trump will not become #47. (And if he does, I will gladly admit that I was wrong.)

Very bad judgment. He should shut it down and come out strongly for Trump. Try to regain credibility.

Yep. Only-Trumpers are getting played and they're bringing the rest of us down with their delusions.

Funny too, as nobody here believes polling (and rightly so) unless it shows Trump in the lead, and then it's the Gospel truth!

It was unconvincing the first time. It doesn’t improve on repeating. You don’t think Trump can win, the future will confirm or refute your opinion.

LOL! Meanwhile, Trump supporters are touting these very same polls showing him winning big over DeSantis.

Trump will not be winning the states you cited, nor will he win North Carolina, in my opinion. Texas will be very, very close.

“ the future will confirm or refute your opinion “

I am willing to admit that I was wrong as that will be good for America.

Will you do the same when America has 4 more years of Biden?

Irrelevant, unimportant. Right or wrong with America in the balance?
I think you are spouting opinions on issues that are unknowable at this time and are a waste of typing power.

The important thing is not to be right or wrong; it is to fight for the best chance for America which is Trump. It’s not about you or me it’s about America

Agreed.

So why do you think Trump can win?

What will he do to change in outcome in MI, PA, GA, AZ?

How can he will if he cannot change the outcome in those states?
