Big question: What criminal charges might Jack Smith bring against Trump related to January 6?
As I've explained in interviews and columns for over a year, DOJs looming indictment against Trump for January 6 poses tremendous legal jeopardy to the former president.
Why?
Because DOJs 2 1/2 year-record of success in prosecuting more than 1,000 individuals for even minimal participation in Jan 6 has established new legal precedents that apply to anyone involved in the Capitol protest. This will include Trump and his co-defendants.
January 6 Jurisprudence
It's important to emphasize how DOJ--DC US Attorney's office in particular--and both the DC district and appellate court have established an entirely separate set of laws for J6ers. Some defense lawyers call this "January 6 Jurisprudence," a dig at the prosecutors and judges who've created this inescapable circle of hell for Americans who protested Joe Biden's election that afternoon.
Quick example: Chief Judge Beryl Howell, public enemy #1 when it comes to the Bill of Rights, in early 2021 authored unique "factors" for judges to consider when deciding whether a Jan 6 defendant should be denied bail and remain in custody until trial.
This is unprecedented--imagine a federal judge creating no-bail rules that applied only to BLM or Antifa or pro-abortion protesters. But Howell's court order allowed judges to treat an individual defendant as part of a "mob" to be punished accordingly.
This egregious sort of precedent is permitted because DOJ and judges routinely refer to the events of January 6 as "unprecedented." Further, they collectively are OFFENDED that Americans traveled to THEIR FIEFDOM to support a president they loathe.
Howell condescendingly marveled in one hearing how the defendant "traveled all the way here from Texas," as if he had no right to visit his nation's capital city

democrats are communists. Show them the man and communists will find you the crime.
Kitchen sink?
.
Some wonder, does it matter?
It looks like 90% of Judges are waiting to move a case against him to Conviction.
In the crazy woman (Jean) case, she didn’t have a date - didn’t have a Year, and the Judge issues rapid fire rulings against Trump with glee.
Manafort, Papadopolous, and Flynn judges condemned the defendants before a single piece of evidence was heard. Remember solitary confinement being used?
The more you know about the Just us system, the more troubling it is.
If the charge itself isn’t sufficient to gag him, restrict travel, etc, then don’t be surprised if a bunch of blue states start trying to pass new laws blocking anyone under federal indictment from appearing on their ballots. I’m no lawyer but I know the states have pretty much unlimited control of their own elections, including those for President.
Ask yourself and be honest - given everything that has happened since Jan 6, do you REALLY expect Trump’s name to appear on the ballot in all 50 states regardless of indictments/trials?
They babble all the time about “existential threats” but there is really only one threat to the Democrat-Media-Elitist Complex: Trump.
District Courts may dismiss with prejudice where the plaintiff acted irresponsibly or in bad faith or where rehearing the claim would burden the court system.
Each of these cases are being brought forward in bad faith
1) The Classified Documents Case
2) The Hush Money Case
3) The Georgia Election Interference Investigation
4) The Jan. 6 Insurrection Investigation
Flonius mopery. They will also charge joey bag of doughnuts as trump’s accomplice.
Other than the popular vote. Does trump really need to be on the ballot in the blue states that will go rat no matter what?
I believe her assertion is at the least misguided.
If Trump had been there or anywhere close, possibly, but he was not.
Elsewhere, it’s whatever speed bump they can make up, but with J6, it’s insurrection or bust because then they can bar him under the 14th Amendment.
IGT will take them WEEKS to count the WRITE IN VOTES.
They should just come out and charge Trump with the real crimes. You know, he beat Hillary and then exposed the GOP as frauds.
That’s the route they’re taking, the 14th amendment, section 3. He can be taken off the ballots in key states.
Trump Indicted For Murder Of Tupac!

LAS VEGAS — The infamous unsolved murder of rapper Tupac Shakur on the streets of Las Vegas, once thought to be a hit by the Southside Crips, is now believed to be the work of none other than former President Donald J. Trump, who authorities believe acted alone. Trump has been indicted for the murder.
A charge of murder in the first degree was brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith. “Tupac was murdered on Flamingo Road, less than two miles from where Trump Hotel later opened in 2017,” he said. “Coincidence? I think not!”
Authorities now believe Trump fired a Glock .40-caliber pistol from the backseat of a white Cadillac while also somehow driving it. The rapper was struck four times in the chest and rushed to a hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds.
This marks the 3rd time Trump has been indicted in the last few months, clearly marking him as a public menace who should not be on the streets.
“Trump is a monster,” Special Counsel Smith said. “I’ll feel much safer when he’s off the streets. What if he comes after Post Malone, next? Not on my watch!”
At publishing time, Trump’s poll numbers had grown another 12% in response to the news.

No I don’t unfortunately.

Lets not forget the whole thing was bankrolled by the guy that owns, Salesforce. And that NY State enacted a law that allowed her to ignore the Statute of Limitations.

Negative, bigbob. That is why Marc Elias was so successful in manipulating election rules and laws all over the country.
NC recently took a case to the Supreme Court, Moore v Harper. Despite the Constitution being very clear that state legislatures have the sole authority to make the rules, it appears that SCOTUS thought otherwise, by saying they do.
Which I find interesting since, after the 2020 debacle, that same SCOTUS ruled that they have no authority over how elections and voting was done, IIRC.
Perhaps someone more legal minded can verify my statement on SCOTUS and the Moore case.
