One place I part company with them is the belief that the material world is not real. As Holmes said, it is “as real as it’s supposed to be.” It is real; it is no the ultimate reality. It’s fact, but not capital-T Truth.
I got in a discussion with some Christian Scientists once and we got around to the issue of why they don’t drink. They said that putting alcohol in your body clouds the mind.
