Pence Resorts to Stall Tactic After Carlson Asks Key Jan. 6 Question
Consevative Brief ^ | July 15, 2023 | Jon Dougherty

Former Vice President Mike Pence was on the hot seat Friday and had difficulty answering a question about the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol incident when asked by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Pence was attending a 2024 GOP presidential candidate forum hosted by Carlson called the Family Leadership Summit in Des Moines, Iowa, when he was put on the spot with a blunt question about that fateful day that he initially declined to address directly.

Pence has run a campaign in which he has largely distanced himself from his former boss, though it hasn’t resonated with GOP voters year, based on polling.

At one point, Carlson gave Pence the opportunity to speak to events on that fateful day that turned Trump, and many of Trump’s supporters, against him with a burning question that has been on the minds of many of the former president’s allies.

“I have to ask you, since you were a witness to and in some unintentional way a participant in one of the most widely covered events in American history, Jan. 6: What was that? Do you think that was an insurrection?” Carlson asked.

Pence took in a deep breath and sighed before first moving to thank the event’s organizers in what appeared to be a clear sign he was stalling.

“Can I just take a moment just to say thank you?”

Later, Carlson and Pence engaged in some back-and-forth over the Biden administration’s continued financial and military support for Ukraine.

“You are distressed that the Ukrainians don’t have enough American tanks? Every city in the United States has become much worse over the past three years. Drive around. There is not one city that’s gotten better in the United States. And it’s visible,” Carlson began.

“Our economy has degraded, the suicide rate has jumped, public filth and disorder and crime have exponentially increased, and yet your concern is that the Ukrainians, a country most people can’t find on a map, who have received tens of billions of U.S. tax dollars, don’t have enough tanks?” he said.

“I think it’s a fair question to ask: Where’s the concern for the United States in that?” he added.

“That’s not my concern. I’ve heard that routine from you before but that’s not my concern. I’m running for president of the United States because I think this country is in a lot of trouble,” Pence responded.

Pence bears a heavy burden, as he’s hated by Democrats for being a Republican, but is also hated by Conservatives because he’s Mike Pence. And yet he thinks he can be elected President. Not just no, Mike. Hell no.

Tucker should’ve pressed further to ask, ‘is it right for the democrats to have called Jan 6 an insurrection and prosecute people accordingly?’.

He did say it was a riot not an insurrection. He did say that the J6 Committee focused all of its attention on Trump and none on the security failures. He also condemned the killing of Ashli Babbit. But, then he went on to say that Trump’s speech was reckless, that he put him (Pence) and his family in danger, and said History will hold Trump accountable for J6.

He’s essentially a Deep State worm.

“Jan. 6: What was that? Do you think that was an insurrection?”

Now that Ray Epps claims to be a target of the DOJ, even the media NO LONGER calls it an ‘insurrection’.

This should have been a VERY EASY question for Pence to answer. He didn’t have to sound like Q either - could simply say that the media no longer calls it an ‘insurrection’, so why should he call it that?

Of course that answer would have opened up more questions from Tucker, but even so, it would have limited the damage.

iirc pence allowed himself to be hustled off by pelosi’s house police, and had no firsthand experience of the demonstrators.

tucker’s next question would possibly have been pin him down on that. and then he would be stuck with being exposed as a mere tool.

The Question with Pence is always - which choice leads to more money for me.

“HAVING LIVED THROUGH IT”

I threw up in my mouth a little bit when he said that. He made it sound like he was still alive on June 7th, 1944.

this clown just needs to go away.

“Pence bears a heavy burden, as he’s hated by Democrats for being a Republican, but is also hated by Conservatives because he’s Mike Pence.”

He’s a scoundrel who single-handedly, and in my opinion, knowingly certified a fraudulent election and ushered in the most contemptible person alive into the highest office on the planet.

Every poor decision made by Biden, every bow to China, every child sniffed or licked by the Pedo-in-Chief, the honored dead in Afghanistan, and the countless and still counting dead in Ukraine, the bare chested transvestites and the cocaine in the White House all lay at the feet of most disgusting and reviled Mike Pence.

His atrocious conduct will long be remembered and the name Pence will forever be seen as a stain on this nation.

Good luck on the campaign trail Mike.
