Joe Biden has never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Or a campaign speech. Or the State of the Union Address. As a result, Biden has received more Pinocchios than a gift shop at Disney, especially when he talks about guns.
Biden has lied at least 304 times at more than 65 public events since taking office, according to an analysis of official White House transcripts by the Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project. In fact, Biden lies nearly every single time he mentions firearms, gun rights or the Second Amendment.
To be clear, this analysis does not include the times Biden lied about guns privately behind closed doors, when no official transcript was made of the conversation. Only public events where Biden’s comments were recorded were used for this analysis.
The White House did not respond to multiple requests seeking comments about the President’s near constant firearm falsehoods.
Biden has lied about the efficacy of the 1994 federal Assault Weapon Ban far more than anything else. Once the ban ended in 2004, researchers funded by the Justice Department concluded that it had no impact on violent crime. Two additional studies reached similar conclusions, but Biden consistently claims otherwise.
On June 11, 2022, speaking at a reception for the Democratic National Committee held at a private residence in Beverly Hills, Biden said mass shootings decreased 70 percent during the ban and increased seven times once the ban expired.

The AW ban was a joke. It banned rifles by name and certain items on them.
So the makers changed the names,
removed the flash suppressor,
removed the bayonet lug (how many bayonet deaths since 1900?),
made the collapsible stock solid as they originally were, and replaced the 30 rd magazine with a ten round one.
And those same bowdlerized rifles were still for sale all through the ban.
Let’s go back farther...
Starting in 1962 with the demand of Dems Thomas J. Dodd and Emanuel Celler...
1962 We ONLY want to register handguns. Rifles will not be affected!
1964, We ONLY want to register ALL firearms, not ban them.
1968 We ONLY want to register all guns, and ban the import of foreign Saturday Night Specials, and 5-shot bolt action army surplus rifles! (they got the ban).
1970, We ONLY want to ban small American handguns. Rifles will not be affected!
1976 We ONLY want to ban ALL handguns! Rifles will not be affected!
1981, Actress Lee Grant on Good Morning America screams and pokes holes in the air with her finger...”THE NRA IS A RIFLE ORGANIZATION! THEY SHOULD GIVE UP THEIR HANDGUNS AND THEY CAN KEEP THEIR RIFLES!”
1984, They came for the rifles.
