In the post just below, Steve notes that the liberal media are trying to make some kind of hero out of new Justice Ketanji Brown-Jackson. Good luck with that: based on what we have seen so far, I would assess her as incompetent.
Her dissent in the UNC race discrimination case was awful. It was one long political screed, devoid of legal argument and oblivious to the standards (the 14th Amendment and Title VI) that she was supposed to be applying. Also, she can’t deal honestly or competently with data.

Not only has Justice Brown-Jackson not shown the ability needed to serve on the Supreme Court, her dissent in the UNC indicates that she fundamentally fails to understand her duties as a judge. Beyond that, her inability to handle data accurately and truthfully causes me to expect that we will have much to say about Ms. Brown-Jackson’s opinions in future years.

The ONLY reason she has this job is to put the face of a black female on the bench. She is obviously stupid and incompetent based on the first utterances I heard from her. She is the very poster child for affirmative action. I question whether she actually passed any courses in law school. I have zero doubt she would rise on her merit. If what she says about the incompetence of blacks(and I guess she’d know, what with being one) is true then it is a sorry state indeed.

And that won’t happen unless you can eliminate the big gap in average race IQ.
Simply letting unqualified blacks into college ain’t going to do that. It only makes matters worse because it creates a sense of entitlement.
It also creates a deep-seeded bitterness and resentment in the very blacks it purports to help. Colleges and universities do battle to admit black students. It’s all for show. (My alma mater’s annual report and alumni pubs are full of photos of female and non-white students. The few white male students pictured aren’t very impressive specimens.) As a result black kids are sent off to top-flight schools amid great hoopla . . . and they can’t handle the work. They know they’re not able to hold their own vs. the white and Asian kids, and the white and Asian kids know it too. They all know former classmates who were rejected by these same schools in favor of unqualified minority applicants. Resentment all around.
Entitlement is firmly entrenched, as from this time forward, the Supreme Court must ALWAYS have a black liberal female on the bench. Transgender “females” are OK.
But being practically illiterate in almost every aspect of human knowledge is a résumé builder, too, and will be part of the affirmative action agenda now and far into the future.
Merit is for wusses. I wish I could say that as sarcasm.

The same is true of TV shows, movies, ads... So I don’t watch any of it.

Ever step of her career to where she is now has been based on her race. Even Biden who nominated her stated, I am not nominating the best their is, I’m limiting my choice only to a black female.
You have to wonder about her clerks. Usually, they take the Justice’s draft\outline and write the opinion. The justice then checks to see if it maintains his\her thought. These clerks must have either just stepped out of the way or she put on a massive display of Dunning-Kruger effect and did it all herself. I’m betting the later!

Sad, but true. And, of course, all the minorities who DO have ability turn out to be not the sort desired by the left.
I understand Justice Thomas wrote in the AA case something to the effect that AA sets some people up for disappointment and unhappiness. Basically they don’t fit in and end up being surrounded by people that are much more capable. I wonder if Jackson feels like he/she doesn’t fit in. It’s obvious that he/she is cognitively deficient. It’s just not a matter of him/her being a leftist, he/she cannot make a cogent leftist argument. Does he/she know that a huge portion of America think he/she was chosen purely on the basis of gender and race? I wonder how it feels to be passed along all one’s life just because of physical appearance. They have to know.
The Supremes should have eliminated affirmative action for the Supreme Court as well.
