There are several reasons why they dont put meshes/screens in front of props/jet engines.

I do not think long term this will be a viable design as it currently is.

George Jetson always seemed to be a bit of an idiot.

No way I’d fly in one of his cars.

[Though, I WAS PROMISED in the 50s....]

I would never drive/fly it.

But I’m sure Biden and his greenie grifters will funnel tons of money to this “business.”

Private Pilot License, Multi Engine, Glider, Commercial Pilot, Instructor, UK and USA tickets. I will take a cab instead of this cross bred flying car. If you have an electrical failure it sure as hell can not auto rotate like a chopper, it has no wings and can not glide. It would be a falling brick.

I have had a total electrical failure in a light single. My engine kept running as its electrical power is from its magnetos. I landed at the nearest airport to cancel my IFR clearance as I had no radios or anything electrical working.
I did not shut down my engine. I bought a Sectional and flew to my destination VFR and took it to the airport shop to be repaired. If said same happened to that “flying brick” it would be a hole in the ground.

Reminds me of the sub that tried to visit the Titanic.

Flying Cars are probably about as practical as legalized, off the shelf
Flamethrowers for private ownership.
Rare exceptions where it makes sense but mostly just another very expensive and potentially very dangerous toy for grownups.

Heck I am still waiting for COLD FUSION which was supoosed to deliver unlimited energy. That was 40 years ago.

And I still send money to cancer foundation who has been trying to find a cure for over 50 years.

And when will driverless cars be available for reasonable price and reasonable insurance premiums?

One has to worry about getting into crashes caused by unsafe drivers but only on the roads.

Now we’d have to worry about crashes going thru the roofs of our honest.

No friggin thank you.

Before you buy...l Ask about the AC and heater. Oh yeah... And can you carry a set of golf clubs... Enjoy the sputtering of the sales rep.

The underside better be designed to stop high caliber rifle rounds. Boyz-n-da-hood have a new sport.
