It is suggested that 30 to 45 new charges could be brought against the former president.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is reportedly seeking indictments against several people within former President Donald Trump’s camp as well as the 2024 GOP frontrunner.

It is also possible additional charges will be brought against the former president, including seditious conspiracy concerning the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021.

The Independent reported that the DOJ is making preparations to bring a “superseding indictment” against Trump, meaning that there will be additional indictments brought against an already-indicted defendant.

The development could lead to more serious charges of crimes.

Jack Posobiec mentioned that the details of the charges were leaked from the DOJ, alluding to potential charges having to do with January 6.

President Trump’s popularity will go up another 5-10 points.

Imagine President Trump governing from behind the Resolute Desk at Leavenworth.

First, he was still president when this happened. AND, he was ALREADY charged and found NOT GUILTY by means of impeachment.

Double-jeopardy. Illegal, partisan and horribly unjust.

Neither is asking a foreign leader to investigate corruption.
Neither is paying off some tart to get her to shut up about an alleged affair.
Neither is a president declassifying and personally retaining documents.

Since when does Trump actually doing something illegal have anything to do with it.

DeSantos didn’t pan out, so they’re ramping it up on Trump. They’re scared...

That’s an interesting question if impeachment proceedings can count as judicial proceedings in terms of ‘double jeopardy?’ Someone should ask Dershowitz?

Smith would likely file the indictment in DC where he’s sure to get a quick conviction. A (quick) conviction would essentially render DJT ineligible for public office.

Game, set and match . . .

This tells me that Speaker McCarthy gave him the green light o try and throw Trump out of the race for President. Otherwise McCarthy could STOP the entire thing instantly.

The current lawsuits aren’t working. Biden needs to create more charges.

A sedition conviction was always the end play, it would make Trump ineligible to be POTUS. With a DC Court, Judge and they could get it using a grocery list as evidence
