In January 2023, two years after leaving office Mike Pence admitted to Congress and the federal government that he was holding classified documents at his home. He took the documents illegally with him when he left office in January 2021.
Mike Pence told CNN in November 2022 that he did not take any classified documents with him when he left office. Obviously, that was a lie.
As vice president, Mike Pence, like Joe Biden, could not take classified documents. It was illegal for them both to do so. Joe Biden has been holding classified documents since 1974.
On Monday Trump-hating FOX News host Bret Baier sat down with President Trump for an interview. Baier attacked and smeared the president from start to finish.
At one point Baier asked Trump about his “classified documents” he had declassified and was holding at his home in Mar-a-Lago. President Trump pointed out that Mike Pence and Joe Biden were holding classified documents illegally after they left office. Joe Biden was holding classified documents in several locations and was sharing them with Hunter’s business partners for their illicit deals with foreign clients.
Bret Baier was NOT having it! Baier snapped back at Trump, “No he didn’t! He turned them over!”
Bret Baier forgot to mention that it was ILLEGAL for Pence to hold these documents at his home. And Baier forgot to mention that Pence told the media two months earlier that he did not have the documents.
Acyn @Acyn · Follow Trump: Mike Pence had documents that were classified.
Baier: And he turned them over.
Trump: No, he didn't turn them over. He got caught.

Ҥ 2203. Management and custody of Presidential records
(a) Through the implementation of records management controls and other necessary actions, the President shall take all such steps as may be necessary to assure that the activities, deliberations, decisions, and policies that reflect the performance of the President’s constitutional, statutory, or other official or ceremonial duties are adequately documented and that such records are preserved and maintained as Presidential records pursuant to the requirements of this section and other provisions of law”

Trump didn’t want the documents Bergerized.
I don’t think he trust Bret but he has always taken on every foe AND he is being frozen out a lot on Fox. I think Trump viewed it as a twofer and any interview is a chance for free air time.
I was not surprised at the questions but the “panel” afterwards was brutal. How in the hell can so many smart people not see this whole “espionage” caper as the pile of steaming BS it is? Then they compound the stupidity by somehow making it “worse” that Trump had it but they excuse everyone else when Trump is the ONLY one covered by the Presidential Records Act AND the only one with absolute declassification authority!
It really is incredible.
Brett Baier was last seen in my house when he declared at the start of the 2020 election results that The Democrats would pick up 15-20 seats. It was exactly the opposite.

He didn’t trust Baier….
….he USED Baier
….Go Trump
His Judgment is awful, sometimes.
“ARTICLE I SECTION 2....The President...may require the opinion, in writing,of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices”
Why might that have been put into the Constitution?
Would it not follow that a President might need and wish to retain at least some of those writings after leaving office?
Quote:
An earlier draft of his Farewell Address [of 1783] showed how wounded the President was by the attacks on his integrity and motivations: “As this Address, Fellow citizens will be the last I shall ever make you, and as some of the Gazettes of the United States have teemed with all the Invective that disappointment, ignorance of facts, and malicious falsehoods could invent, to misrepresent my politics and affections; to wound my reputation and feelings; and to weaken, if not entirely destroy the confidence you had been pleased to repose in me; it might be expected at the parting scene of my public life that I should take some notice of such virulent abuse. But, as heretofore, I shall pass them over in utter silence...”

All these people yapping about the media never covering big issues, and now you're crying when the media interviews Trump as he continues to expose these frauds in another interview with the media.
In the interview Trump is talking criminal weaponized government agencies, and you can see this media stooge is broadsided by Trump. And Trump succeeds 100% getting the real message out.
For what? Again, he walks right into these traps.
Why Presidents might need to retain documents of every type (quote):
Former White House chief of staff, retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, has told friends that President Donald Trump “is the most flawed person” he’s ever known.
“The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it’s more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life,” the retired Marine general has told friends, CNN has learned.
You think his judgement is awful ALL THE TIME!! You are a NEVER TRUMPER why do you keep infiltrating these threads WE DON’T BELIEVEIN DESANTIS!!! HE IS GOPe!!
I don’t care what the media does, could care less. Trump should not give them the time of day, fox betrayed Consrvatives by firing Tucker And DeSantis was wrong when he went on Fox as well.
.
Brett Baier is the guy that said two weeks before the 2020 Presidential Debate that there wouldn’t be any Questions on Hunter’s laptop, or Joe’s firing of the Prosecutor in the debate - it was ruled Off-limits by Fox.
Can you think of a more important issue?
So, FOX is trash. He shouldn’t have went on with Baier, or he should’ve brought up Hunter and the Laptop - and Fox’s involvement. I’m assuming he did not. Or maybe they edited it out.
Sorry, I forgot you’re a quack. Never mind.
LOOK AT THE PEOPLE HE HIRED. THEY ALL STABED HIM IN THE BACK. Not a never Trumper, im. undecided. Our canidate must be organized and ruthless, we can’t afford sloppiness.
Now is being a quack to hate the antichrist media? If DeSantis goes on thier shows I will be just as upset that he gave any attention to terrorists.
Bret Baier was, is, and always will be a complete cretin.
“Our country can’t ... be a therapy session for, you know, a troubled man like this”
“he constantly engages in reckless conduct that puts his political followers at risk and the conservative and Republican agenda at risk.”
William Barr, Trump’s former Attorney General
There are reasons walking on two legs (or possibly slithering on their bellies) why a current and former President needs to retain documents of every type in his person control.
Article II, Section II provides that: “The President...may require the opinion, in writing,of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices”
So, for those who actually watched the interview, how did Trump do?
