Carlson—who said that “in journalism, curiosity is the greatest crime”—cited a widely reported claim by an Air Force veteran that the U.S. government had recovered proof of UFOs, including an intact aircraft of “non-human origin.” Carlson said of the story that “UFOs are actually real” and “in a normal country this news would qualify as a bombshell—the story of the millennium.”
Carlson noted that The New York Times had several stories on Ukraine, Donald Trump, trans people and climate change, but “not one word” on “an alien species flying hypersonic aircraft over our cities.”

You first. Where in God’s word, the Bible, does He even hint that we would one day be seeing ETs showing up on earth?
No place. Now its your turn: Where in God’s word, the Bible, does He even hint that we would one day would not be seeing ETs showing up on earth?
In a previous post I mentioned people’s tendency to “errantly” use the Bible to work though this issue. You stumbled upon that nicely. The Bible doesn’t mention this issue in any manner from any angle. Many people seem to justify their opinions by saying “Bible” when that document doesn’t address the subject matter. The Bible is not intended to be a Technical Manual of the Universe. It is intended to bring souls back to the Father by Salvation provided through Faith in Christ. Using the Bible to justify your need to be God’s Most Important and Only Thing is time silly.
So, where is your reply? I thought we were entering an honest discussion.
Neither. More like he’s not as pure and honest as some would like to believe, but just another talking head capable of saying one thing and believing another.

I’m not sure which God you believe in, but the God of the Bible says that we indeed are the pinnacle of his creation in this universe, and I’ve seen no evidence to make me doubt it.

No, I don’t pursue such foolishness like believing that I can imagine a God for myself. The human mind cannot compass the true nature of God, that much is apparent. And if God is the God of the Bible, then we don’t have to imagine what the purpose is of all those trillions of stars and worlds that may be out there, because He already told us why He created them.
Maybe I am missing something. What is their specific purpose for releasing information?

Not quite. First the Bible tells us what the purpose of other stars and planets is:
“14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.” Gen. 1:14-18
No mention in any of those verses about God also creating life on other planets around those stars, or that they were made for such a purpose. No, God is quite clear that they were created for purposes that are focused on man here on earth.
As for your assertions that man is some lesser creation in this universe, just look to 1 Corinthians 6:3, which reveals that men, after their glorification, will sit in judgement over even angels (even though Psalms 8 tells us we were created “lower” than the angels). So while we, in our current state may not seem like much of a crowning glory, that’s only really true now if you are ignoring what man may achieve through grace.
What about most of the Universe that man can't even see or detect, even with our so called advanced technology? What's the purpose?

Well, that would depend on the information, wouldn’t it? If they release, for example, a document that suggest that Fidel Castro ordered the JFK assassination, then I would assume it suits their purpose to have people suspect Castro and not suspect others (like people in our own government).
Just think of spooks and government operatives like stage magicians. Whatever they are telling you is likely just misdirection to get you to look over here when you should be looking over there.
That is always the question. News about vax injuries/deaths? FBI interference in multiple elections? Please ignore that boycotting Budd Lite and Target works? WEF plans to confiscate farms?
If one is saying "Look!" while waving their hand around with a shiny object in it, watch what the other hand is doing.

God made no distinction between the stars we can see with the naked eye and the stars that we can’t, so I can only assume He made them for the same purpose, since He lumps them all in together. I think we can assume God knew we would some day invent telescopes, radio, etc.
