Kayleigh McEnany served as a token Republican on CNN before her time with the Trump White House and took up the mantle of Never Trumpism and Koch Brothers-style open borders during her time on air. Now, a video compilation has emerged documenting some of McEnany’s worst CNN moments, going viral on Twitter in the aftermath of her falling out with President Trump; which comes after McEnany, now with Fox News and apparently trying to nudge along the DeSantis campaign, minimized Trump’s lead over DeSantis in the 2024 primary polls.
“The mainstream Republican does not want to send the illegal immigrants back to Mexico,” McEnany told Don Lemon in 2015. “I think that they’re here to stay, that’s not the American way. We’re not going to ship people across the border. There has to be some path to citizenship.”
Should we hold her to her views from eight years ago, before she worked for Trump, when we saw her articulate and defend Trump between then and now as White House press secretary? No of course not. Trump is upset she said his commanding lead wasn’t quite as big as he said it was. Big deal. That’s on Trump and why the people who endear themselves to him and get appointed tend to be problems. Reasonable people, for the most part, don’t want the headache or to be tainted by association. He’s so thin skinned and disloyal it’s frustrating. It’s one of the reasons he can’t win a 2024 general election. Too many are tired of it.
To keep up with his horrible record of hiring incompetent people.
But of course his next administration will be completely different. 🙄
********
You won’t have to worry about who Trump hires.
According to Trump critics on Free Republic, he’s unelectable.
I can only imagine the celebrations when godfather Joey stole another US presidential election ... the locust are upon US. got to serve Rome ..
I don’t think it matters. Whoever is available to hire in political circles did not achieve prominence through their astounding moral character - the competent and incompetent will all turn on the boss when they get a better offer.
“Then why did President Trump hire her?”
They both supported amnesty?
She did a good job.
The make up and gaudy false eyelashes were distracting.
Clearly she is a careerist and opportunist.
It was a mistake, much like his supporting and then pulling Gov Meatball over the Florida finish line in 2018.
“Meanwhile, nary a peep where DeSanctimonious Campaign staff and Donators, and Endorsers are concerned even though they are part of the GOP-E / Globalist Cabal.”
On abortion, DeSantis defended Florida’s newly enacted six-week abortion ban against Trump criticism that it was “too harsh” and that DeSantis didn’t know what he was doing.
“He’s running to the left,” DeSantis said. But he also stopped short of endorsing the national abortion ban favored by other Republican candidates. “I think at the end of the day, we’re going to save more lives with a bottom-up approach,” he told conservative talk radio host Dana Loesch.
On immigration, DeSantis accused Trump of supporting amnesty for undocumented immigrants as part of a 2018 immigration bill. “To hit me for taking the America First position I think is pretty strange,” DeSantis said.
The Trump campaign responded that as a congressman, DeSantis voted for a bill that gave legal status to some undocumented minors as part of a package of tougher immigration restrictions, before opposing a similar plan.
On crime, DeSantis criticized the First Step Act, Trump’s signature criminal justice bill, telling conservative podcaster Ben Shapiro Friday that it was “basically a jailbreak bill.” DeSantis voted for an early version of the bill but resigned from Congress before the final bill passed the House.

“Trump shouldn’t be so mean to Kayleigh!”
Also Kayleigh McEnany:
“People in New Hampshire are very sick, especially when they see that Donald Trump is No. 2 and doesn’t deserve to be there.”
“Donald Trump is the last person going to bring voters into the tent.”
“Mainstream Republicans don’t want to send illegal immigrants back to Mexico. That’s not the American way. There has to be some path to citizenship.”“Donald Trump has shown himself to be a showman. I don’t think he’s a serious candidate.”
“I don’t want to claim Trump. He’s a progressive. He’s not a true Republican candidate.”
Wait until you find out who she’s gonna endorse this time. pic.twitter.com/vYZfT2E1gS— Leskov Brandonovic (@fjb4587) May 31, 2023
Her daily press briefings, like Sanders’, were must-see-tv.
I saw nothing that resembled a NeverTrumper then.
If she now thinks illegal aliens are here to stay, she's gone off the deep end. That's not Trump's fault.
tony snow
This is how we're going to win?
There is the entire corrupt Biden Administration record out there to focus on, and we're wasting time slamming people deemed insufficiently enthusiastic for Trump.....????

The day after the 2022 midterms, Kayleigh McEnany said Trump shouldn’t visit Georgia to rally for Herschel Walker, but Desantis should

Seems to me that when he was president, that Trump did an incredible job with what he had to work with & with the resistance he had to put up with.
She performed her job very well.
Outside of that job she seems to have some issues.
Kayleigh McEnany has an obsessive love for the Bush family and Paul Ryan, just like the one she’s rooting for in the presidential primary. pic.twitter.com/CKTsSGjsEO— Leskov Brandonovic (@fjb4587) May 31, 2023
Kayleigh is not who I thought she was.
“Not the American way”? We’ve always had immigration laws. We’ve always deported people for a variety of reasons. Now I guess she wants open borders? I hope this little twit has no doors or locks on her house.
Trump, Trump, Trump. Why did you hire so many backstabbing idiots?
Or it was a lack of available talent that shared his concern for the common American. We can see that the upper echalon of society’s main concern is how much money they can save by hiring illegals whenever they can.
Good people, who have kick-ass professional lives in the private sector, don’t want to get in the mud, that is modern politics. Can’t say I blame them.
