The House of Representatives on Wednesday evening passed the McCarthy-Biden debt ceiling bill in a 314 to 117 vote.
The bill will advance to the Senate ahead of the June 5 deadline.
149 Republicans voted “Yes” while 71 Republicans stood with “We the People” and voted “No.”
Below is the list of Republicans who voted with the Democrats:
This is a breaking story. Please check back for more updates.)

Don’t argue with Latranyi. I am convinced he is a plant.
He called Dr, Oz, “Dr. Azz” consistently, allowing PA to get SENATOR FETTERMAN.
Thanks a pantload, Latranyi for helping the enemy.
Trump was silent because he is weak and cares very little about conservative policy. His populist supporters want to shut down all debate lest that become obvious to casual political observers.
4 of 6 South Carolina repubs voted No.
Trump gave us Fettterman by undermining the only conservative in the primary....the same way he is undermining the only conservative in the 2024 presidential primary.
Trump gave us Dr Azz, a carpetbagger, pro-child genital mutilation, anti-assault weapons RINO to go up against a brain-dead Fetterman.
Fetterman is 100% on Trump
How’d they vote, again?
Two sides of the same coin.
I sent a scathing Email, and my wife made a lengthy phone call to my rep (Moran) after he voted YES on the rules. Last night, he redeemed himself and voted NO. Maybe some of them do read those Emails and listen to those phone calls.
He voted No because McCarthy said he could. If he needed the vote, he would have voted Yes.
Thankfully, our guy, Tim Burchett, was a strong “NO” on this.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene voting yes. What should we do, primary her too?”
Most definitely primary her. There’s something going on between her and KM. I don’t mean sexual, but something. She was his biggest supporter and advocate for the Speakership when it made no sense. Now this. She knows better, and I’ll bet her constituents are pissed.
Yea, he cut her a deal that if she supported his Speakership that he would restore her committee positions. Now she’s lock-step supporting everything he does. She’s sold her soul.
149 members of the Republican Wing of the Uniparty who think their seat is “safe”.
Quite sadly, 90 per cent of them are probably right.
In other words, only ten per cent or 15 may pay a price at the next election.
Some talk about term limits which could only benefit not harm the system.
But the elephant in the room is the closed primary states favor the Uniparty.
The leadership in both caucuses tend to come from closed primary states.
Pelosi and McCarthy from California, Schumer from New York, Durbin from Illinois, McConnell from Kentucky.
Obama went through local politics never having a contested primary.
That’s the Chicago way.
The machine decides which candidate gets the first position on the ballot and the Democrats are trained to vote for the person listed first.
Works pretty well.
But the LaRouchies screwed things up back in the eighties when they caught the machine sleeping and got first position on the primary ballot.
A Lyndon Larouche candidate won the Democrat slot for governor on the ballot from Adlai Stevenson III.
It was hilarious.
The primaries have ALWAYS been rigged by both parties.
But in 2020 we saw rigging that went way beyond the types of rigging that had been common practice in the primaries for decades.
What’s a closed primary?
That’s the stickler.
The Uniparty has so muddled the rules every state tweaks and keeps tweaking so that it is very hard to come up with a standard definition.
All this is to say, most of the 149 will pay no price for selling this country out.
If they thought their seat was on the line, the vote would have gone differently.
Presidential politics mean NOTHING.
It’s gets a lot of argument on this site.
I know, I argue as much as anyone.
But for what purpose?
Presidents don’t really matter do they?
Biden, Trump, DeSantis, none would have changed this abomination of a bill that much.
ANY time the debt ceiling is raised it’s a victory for the Uniparty and a defeat for those of us who want to put America First.
I HARP on this constantly and I will do so until the day I die.
No POTUS in my lifetime was given the MANDATE by the electorate that Trump was given in 2016.
Those who voted Trump voted for him because he sought to end open borders by building a wall.
But as soon as he was inaugurated he was told his wall was dead on arrival not by the Democrat wing of the Uniparty but by the Republican wing of the Uniparty.
Trump’s presidency was a success if for no reason than he did what the so-called “conservatives” could never do.
He nominated THREE justices which comprised the majority of five who overturned Roe v Wade while the “conservatives” Bush and Rove’s boy Roberts was likely “blackmailed” again in voting with the liberals against.
Hilariously the one justice nominated by the “conservatives” Bush/Rove was their second choice who was “forced” upon them as their first choice was rejected by REAL conservatives.
A wise man said all politics is local.
No truer than it is today.
Biden couldn’t sell this country out without the those local representatives who represent a half a million or so people in the 535 congressional districts which comprise the so-called “People’s” House.
Blame Biden, but I’ll blame “conservative” darlings” like Jim Jordan and MTG.
This vote seems to be an anomaly. Jordan is to the House what Rand Paul is to the Senate. Although not part of the Ohio delegation, same with MTG. Why would they be co-opted now?
Mike Gallagher on the Salem Radio Network, is praising this bill as a major victory. He’s saying this is the best we could hope for given the Democrats control the Senate and the White House. He’s saying we need to take this victory and move on to other battles.
I know the Free Republic consensus is that this is a bad bill. But Mike is saying how this bill cuts spending by $2 trillion and sets the stage for more cuts.
Just an observation, that there are some differing opinions on talk radio and the media.
Honestly, I tend to agree with Gallagher. Some around here can’t stand a victory. Especially if the enemy gets to share in it.

Sorry no excuse for that.
149 RINO’s. Any wonder why the Red wave fizzled, who is excited to give the House a majority GOP when they out dem the dems?
As Bannon on WR just said if your congresscritter voted “yes” call them up and give them “HELL”, if they voted “no” call them up and give them an “Atta-boy.”
