Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) claimed confidently that he is “not at all” concerned about losing his position as Speaker of the House despite growing opposition among conservative lawmakers regarding the recent debt limit deal reached between him and Joe Biden.
On Sunday, Kevin McCarthy and Joe Biden reached a final agreement on the debt limit to avert a government default.
“Good news,” Biden announced. “The agreement prevents the worst possible crisis, a default, for the first time in our nation’s history,” he said. “Takes the threat of a catastrophic default off the table.”
“This is a good strong bill that a majority of Republicans will vote for. You’re going to have Republicans and Democrats be able to move this to the president,” McCarthy said

Just the other day I was saying McCarthy has been doing a good job.
Well that has now ended. Once a uniparty kiss ass, always a uniparty kiss ass.
DeSantis is railing against the deal.
You won’t get a paycheck. The IRS will simply take it all.
McCarthy is a RINO, always was, and its time Trump speak up against the guy he shoved down our throat.

1. I expected exactly what I got, the same nonsense we’ve seen for 40 years.
2. No details? They designed the plan months ago, and said very little about it. They decide to meet last minute and iron out some negotiation. Did they re-write the entire bill? No. They changed a few things. Changing a few things means most of the bill never changed, and it also means they could have given us the details months ago.
I state again: if it were great, they would have boasted about it months ago. If it were great, Democrats would be pointing out every cut listed as destroying America. Neither happened. That means it’s either a farce or does very little.
You have very low expectations, the ol’ Let’s pass it before we (the public) know what’s in it. They are our representatives and it is their JOB to communicate with us.
You’re right. I have very low expectations. I’ve learned not to expect anything from the corrupt U.S. government. That way if anything good comes about it’s a bonus. That said just moaning and bitching before the information is out is really not productive.
