Same answer as most of the similar questions regarding supranational entities. The money goes to a privileged few who work tirelessly to see their "rent" not only continues, but increases. As such pseudo-aristocracies awash in corruption have done for too long.

Demand that we defund the WHO? really?

If I’m not mistaken we had a President that wanted to do just that and kick them out of the country. But that very same congress has seizures over it.

So many things that people talk about today, were proposed by the precious administration, reversed by lawsuit or Congress, and now the “new ideas” are looked at as something novel.
